Fit only for dismantling for parts I'd have thought. 2 grand! Chancer.Been for sale since at least late August - I was on a train going across South London with the £5k from SL3 burning a hole in my pocket when it popped up on eBay.
Japanese market car once upon a time. Seller had the 15-holes off it and up on eBay at £450 - he breaks a number of old Mercs, seemingly on his driveway. Rare green leather interior but obviously just total junk. I'd not pay £750 for it.

Are those SLK/CLK wheels on it now? Fairly cheap for a 6.0 v12. Pehaps leave it as is and smoke about in it? https://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C1040045
Ad is in Italian. Fortunately I have translated it as "Car is in unbelievably good condition with no rust whatsoever". https://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C848180
Could be a fun drive back?

Are those SLK/CLK wheels on it now? Pity about the condition, I love the colour combo but as Zonergem says, it's sub-BB money really.

It is described as a 'restoration base', so that's open to interpretation!Could be a fun drive back?

Having just spent £1000 on a new water pump, radiator and MOT the 540 has just rewarded me by one of the rear suspension bags going flat. Any ideas how much they are to replace? It's particularly annoying as I'm about to sell it!
From memory they are around £150 apiece, but they are terribly easy to replace as a DIY job. Jack up the car and remove the wheel, release the air pump connection, one bolt top and bottom and a bit of furtling to get out, and reverse to fit. Removing the boot trim bits and bobs to access the turret takes longer than the job itself.Jimmy Recard said:
Do we have any particular thoughts for/against C32 AMGs? They've been on my mind lately
I had an estate version a couple of years ago. Surprisingly rapid, even considering the specs on the engine, it still seemed quick. Handling okay for an estate, quite good fun to drive. I had a few problems with the cooling system including a couple of breakdowns, which was less fun. Main thing is rust of course. This version of the C** AMG is not the most loved due to reliability issues and rust, most see the C55 as much better all round, although it's no quicker.

Thanks Olly Not as bad as I feared. All clean and drug dealer window tints removed this morning. More jobs to do but I’m looking forward to my first week getting to know the G!
