This is Cat D - is there an easy way to find out what the damage was?
I posted a few pages ago, a much tidier, nicer example with LOADS of history.

Nearly in budget (a haggle away), a tidy looking CL600, a well written advert and with the ABC serviced / replaced.

Apropos the electrification issue I think we'll see two distinct categories going forward:
1) Coveted barges will skyrocket in price
2) Unloved barges will be worth buttons

e.g. a 750i E38, S600 W220, etc will be 20-30k (imho), but the lower models will disappear in short order with a few hangers-on in the mid range.

With less demand for fossil fuels, hopefully prices will come down so I can start running V8/V12's as a daily.

I don't even know what it means, I assume people use it to make themselves look clever. Similar to those who use French or Latin on Pistonheads.

Please, please, please don't base your future fleet planning on this! smile

Because it beats discussing “design language “.
It seems to be a thread trend, why not? tongue out

I'm sticking by that being ok, but if it is causing some grinding of gears, I'll happily swap to another phrase that encompasses the same thing! smile

Funnily enough, I did once ask them about a job, which turned out to be too small!

I think it is indeed cast-iron, as a gesture to contributors to this thread I am prepared to sell my W220 S600 to any of them for way less than £30k.

Electric propulsion is the best thing to happen to the car since the electric starter. Total smoothness, amazing performance compared to comparable ICE alternatives, near silence from the powertrain, you lose a lot of weight and complexity, and you get shot of a big source of expensive maintenance and repairs.

Not so much for sports cars.
For those who love second hand bargains I'm still not sure what an electrified motoring future holds. I think the shift to leasing/PCP over outright ownership is a long term strategy to eventually have almost all cars on rental agreements and as long as you have to keep replacing batteries as the major ownership cost that would be how cars stay.

It will be interesting to see if in 20 years time you can buy a ten year old car or if they'll have all been recycled or put into a different hire fleet.

Ignore me. I’m just pissed my E39 has gone to the great scrapyard in the sky today. 2 rear airbags, the compressor, put it on a ramp and the rot has got there too,big time. Another one bites the dust...

Still, more reason to shop barge!

Sad day.
Don’t get an E61.

Horrible design language.
