Apropos the electrification issue I think we'll see two distinct categories going forward:
1) Coveted barges will skyrocket in price
2) Unloved barges will be worth buttons
e.g. a 750i E38, S600 W220, etc will be 20-30k (imho), but the lower models will disappear in short order with a few hangers-on in the mid range.

Electric propulsion is the best thing to happen to the car since the electric starter. Total smoothness, amazing performance compared to comparable ICE alternatives, near silence from the powertrain, you lose a lot of weight and complexity, and you get shot of a big source of expensive maintenance and repairs.
Not so much for sports cars.
For those who love second hand bargains I'm still not sure what an electrified motoring future holds. I think the shift to leasing/PCP over outright ownership is a long term strategy to eventually have almost all cars on rental agreements and as long as you have to keep replacing batteries as the major ownership cost that would be how cars stay. Not so much for sports cars.
It will be interesting to see if in 20 years time you can buy a ten year old car or if they'll have all been recycled or put into a different hire fleet.
