This is but one example of many of what I was saying earlier on about pricing of 'classic cars' currently. And, I have to say that probably the car I've noticed it most with over the last few days of trawling the internet is the BMW E30. I don't mean E30 M3s as we all know about their pricing but I mean boggo standard, run off the mill, not very exciting models like 316, 318 and take this 320, for example:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-E30-320i/2541668377...

How on Earth is this full of rust, poverty spec old thing with no service history worth anything like the £5000 that it is already (apparently) bid to? Look at the state of it!

P.S Edited to say "OMFG"! I've just seen that car advertised on Car & Classic for £7500 ! Do these people realise or have any idea what £7500 is and what it actually buys these days? It's utterly ridiculous!

Not in the market for one but seems good too good to be true? S500L with LPG etc etc. Terrible description though. Thoughts?

There is a lovely looking 2005 CLS500 with just shy of 100k on the clock, recently fitted brakes and a new air compressor for the airbag suspension.

The listing has ended so waiting for it to go live again so i can share, but its in that quite rare blue/purple colour with beige leather.

Under £4500 private sale. Surely worth a look considering 2 of the main problems have partially been fixed in the past 6 months?

Barge meet.

I’ve setup a provisional Easter poll for the Easter Sunday/Monday at the Haynes Museum (thx CdeG), easy enough to add dates, etc. if those don’t particularly suit.

https://www.haynesmotormuseum.com/

It’s already looking marginal for my attendance, as is the case with many SAP implementations, the idea of looking at a calendar to pick a cutover date & seeing whether there might be any national holidays remains an alien concept, so I may well be in the US for Easter. Yaay.

Still, y’all (practice) don’t need me there to have a succesful meet.

https://doodle.com/poll/xw97fcqatg2s6959

(I am also tempted to setup a Chesterfield one, for those of us that like gravy with our chips).

Feedback please?!
Thanks prinny.

I have nothing planned for Easter so should be good for this, unless some tempting overtime is offered.

Somewhere in the chesterfield area works for me or even meadowhall in Sheffield, so that the poor souls that put up with us have something to do too smile

Maybe it's because I always end up with silver Mercs despite hating the colour, but I'm utterly in love with that!

How lovely is this?

Not 6.5k lovely is the answer, but lovely it is.
Calibrated speedo confused
Ex police?
It will be - they had a few demo cars kicking about in the early 90s, lots ending CVC.

Our local traffic chaps had one, bit damned if I can remember the reg...

A bit stealthy not what you'd expect them to have

Page 500 means I can sneak this in knowing no one will see it. Remains of Maserati £1500.

If I had space, time, money and skill, I’d be all over it.
