McLaren is becoming Aston since the DB7 of the mid 90's. Releasing the same car over and over again. This is still in essence the MP4-12C.
And you're posting something incredibly ignorant which we see over and over again.I guess this is a 12C if you don't include the bodywork, suspension, interior, brakes, wheels, carbon tub.....the engine is also rather different (internals are basically totally changed by now).

Does anyone have any pictures of the Long Tail version of this car? None of the images in the story show any cars with long tails.
There is a slight differnce in length. I mean not much ....But it is there.... ish lol. not the best of pictures as both are different resolutions

This But then, given McLaren have used “LT” for a car that clearly doesn’t have a long tail I guess it’s all just part of the same old marketing bks that is the modern car industry

In case anyone from McLaren's marketing department is reading:
Long tail:
Not long tail:
You won’t be buying one then because it’s not quite long enough for you ? In case anyone from McLaren's marketing department is reading:

Correct. That and the money, obviously. Actually I could probably stretch to the monthly payments, but there'd be fewer holidays and a probable reassessment of our supermarket choice. I'll stick with my old 911, which sounds much nicer. And is probably rather more reliable on track.

Engine noise is a very important factor, of course. Many people prefer how a car drives over the engine note, if there's a choice (eg 1 car sounds nicer but doesn't drive as well vs another which sounds a little less exciting but drives better).
[quote=Lazadude]Whats a front slitter?
“..it's now delivering 100kg of the stuff thanks to that new front slitter...”
I too wondered about this but I’m sure it’s McLaren speak for some Pedestrian Non-Interference System (or P.E.N.I.S) collision mitigation...
Anyhoo, if my numbers had come up last night I’d have been off to McL like a shot and paid for the Stealer principle and his wife to go on a round-the-World cruise just to secure a build slot (not that I’m suggesting McLaren would ever indulge in such shenanigans....)

I don't think you need to take it so literally. I'd say its more about the idealogy or concept than getting your measuring tape out. The 570s Spider doesn't have 8 legs either.I'll stick with my old 911, which sounds much nicer. And is probably rather more reliable on track.
