Got an allocation for the Spider variant. Hoping that keeps the top mounted exhausts.

Doesn't work as well as the 675LT did.

Another PH new car feature and yet another litany of nonsense form the various “there’s a typo in line two”and “I wouldn’t buy one of these even if I had eleventy billion pounds”, and “it sounds crap (but I have zero experience” etc etc PH sages.

Anyway my allocation is confirmed and I can’t wait.

If it sounds as good as my current Mac with its custom pipe i’ll be very happy.

The simplest way to avoid people like me pointing out typos is...simply use the spellcheck facility before publishing.

Congrats on your purchase, I hope you enjoy owning and driving it.

I would be interested in driving one. For me, it (and the 570s) seem good value for the performance on offer.

The looks aren't quite 'wow' for me, and I am concerned about the ongoing reliability tales. I was worried about the lack of noise too, but I heard a 570s drive past - which I assume was in loud mode - and it sounded exotic to me.

Why would anyone care about the power to dry weight? It's a pointless metric. The car can't run without fluids!
Totally agree. I think Ferrari started this? It’s a tactic for people who don’t know the difference to repaste it everywhere until eventually people believe it’s the actual weight. I think Ferrari even refer batteries as “wet weight”. I believe at no point is a car in it’s dry weight even in its entire lifetime.

Not directly 600LT related, but some interesting news in CityAM and the Telegraph today about a Government investigation involving "information concerning certain third-party companies and concerning executive and other persons who have been, or are currently, associated with the group” and that "negative publicity surrounding assertions...may consequently have a negative impact upon the financial performance of the group". Hmm...

Well the Performante is a lot more expensive than this and I suspect the baby Mac will be on a par performance wise. The real competitor to Pista and Performante is the LT version of the 720S and given the standard cars ridiculous performance thats going to be ridiculous
Where do you draw the line on price? The Performante has a base price around 30K more than the 600LT but the Pista has a base price of around 30K more than the Performante. By your logic the Performante and Pista would not be competitors.
My logic is that 720S is clearly the direct rival to the 488 and Huracan, Sport series cars are priced and aimed at Porsche Turbo, Audi R8 etc-

I was a big fan of the 675LT however I'm not sure this 600LT is giving me the same feeling.

Might be a grower though.

Which still doesn't make sense by your own pricing logic.

The 720S starts at just under 210K which is a whole 50K more than the cheapest Huracan, the 580-2, whose closest rival if you take size, BHP, weight and price into account is actually the 570S.

The base price for a 488GTB is now another 40K on top of these.

Again, if you are going to suggest that the Huracan performante is a lot more expensive than the 600LT so they cannot be rivals then you cannot suggest that your other examples suddenly are.

If the LT version of the 720S is over 30K more than the Performante, which it will be, presumably you will no longer consider them rivals?? And the basic stats of the the Super Series LT, namely price, BHP and dimensions, will be a lot bigger leap from the Performante than the Performante is from the 600LT.

Hi all,

This car is incredible IMO. The 570S is great for so many reasons, but this rounds out the offering with much more of a racy feel. And vertical exhausts are the coolest thing imaginable! Absolutely love it. So much so I’m going to put down a deposit in the hope I can grab a production slot.

Has anyone else on here done this with McLaren? Grateful for any tips or learnings.

+1 I've got a deposit down too... fingers crossed I get a build slot.

The stealer I spoke to said that they reckoned that even with the 'year' build period there probably won't be that many cars that they can produce due to Senna production, other 570s, 720s etc. Its going to be a) epic and b) quite rare.

One of the other big dealerships in the UK I spoke to said they would only be getting 2-3 cars max.

Fingers crossed everyone - looks like an incredible car IMO...

If you are not a current Mac owner the chances are you won’t get one.

I have and I’m a customer already.

Strong message I got was existing only.

Would be genuinely interested to know if you have heard differently. Feel free to pm if you would rather.

I think if you're serious and genuine there are or maybe that's were, cars available.
