Sorry but I didn't meant to upset you Gordo, there are plenty of youngsters on here that don't drive yet, no need to take it to heart "pal".

So what do you drive? It's not a fiesta ST by any chance is it?

Given your love of the word "cute", you must be a 13 year old American girl smile

Are you really here to just try to trade insults? Cute/sad/pathetic, pick whichever you want to describe yourself as if it makes you feel better. wink

You really took being told that your car is pink to heart didn't you. rofl

Noooo don't get him started on Focus talk wink. It is the best in the world. The Focus is amazing at everything. Everything I tell you. End of.
Well we can't all have a love for pink cars wink

We were talking about aesthetics (that means how things look), I was merely pointing out that the FRS is at least the 3rd most outrageously styled hot hatch currently on sale and there are several much more conservative (that means toned down/restrained in this context) ones out there.

I know you just can't help but hang on my every word, so cute. smile
Not this st again. Everytime anything about the FRS that comes that isnt glowing you sniff it out and act with incredulity. Calm the fk down and grow up.

Butter - that RS is cracking. Whats the drive like?

I’ve onky driven it a short distance, it feels lovely. Super tight, the 4control feels awesome (as it always has) and the gearbox is tight and slick.

Sounds amazing in Race mode although not been driven anywhere in anger yet obviously.

Great to hear. You must be stoked.

How does it compare to other cars youve had? Also is build quality any good?

I'll clarify that is not actually my own personal car wink I work for Renault and this is our stock/demo vehicle. It will be going on display today for us to sell from. We may register as a demo.

The quality is superb (biased obvs) but it is lovely inside.

Do the wing vents vent air from the engine bay? Or are they mainly for looks?

I do like the Pearlescent white they do.

They vent somehwere, I'll assume they do lead to the engine bay. This one is pearl (Arctic) white and it does look superb.

Aah, the pearl doesn't show in the pics, looks like a flat white, maybe needs a close up pic with the sun shining on it.

EDIT: Sadly, I'm too far away to have a go in your demo... and too impecunious to justify it right now when genuine buyers will want a go, I'm sure. Couple of years though... smile

I've spent some time in a Hyundai dealer the last couple of days and they had a demo i30N that I avoided taking for a drive despite their best efforts! Lovely thing though and does sound suitably childish which is exactly what I want in a hot hatch.

I decided it was still too much money to justify swapping the ST for but out of curiosity I went onto autotrader and now I'm tempted again... https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201...
£23,450 with 10 miles on the clock. That's just not playing fair Hyundai!

Seems £24k is about the price for a delivery miles car.

Nice pics Butterface. I’m not a hot-hatch man, but Renaultsport do know how to make a car handle. I’m sure this will be good too.

I came to comment on the dash pics though. It amuses me greatly that the seatbelt warning graphic doesn’t show on comfort, but does on race. laugh I’m sure there’s a good reason for it other than “we’ve a bit of space here lads, what shall we put in it?”, but it does seem somewhat at odds with the expected usage. Do like the top central rev-counter though, hmm I wonder if I could configure something like that on the M6’s hud? scratchchin

It annoys me reading about people complaining about the Megane's dash.

Renaultsports have never been about the interior design or quality. The Clio 1*2s have one of the most rattly interiors ever made, yet are regarded as one of the best hot hatches of the early 00s, and rightly so.

The interior of the 197/200 was probably worse in terms of design, athough better in quality. But even by the time's standards was pretty basic. Still, a tremendous car that everybody lauded. Nothing came close to it.

The 225 was not great either. The 250-275 was much, much better, but still not on a par with other competitors. Still, they were the best in the class by a margin.

The ineterior is not a legitimate measurable of a hot hatch.

Agreed. In fact all the great hot hatches generally have st interiors. Perhaps because theyve mostly been french hehe

I had a look at the new Civic the other day and when you open the door the thing that sticks out like dogs balls is the black rod/stick thing you push to reset the trip or something - its at least 15cm long. Looks ridiculous.

Since I appear to be the only one talking about the dash so far, I’d politely ask you to point out my complaint?

It’s not a criticism of the car, and I’d have made the exact same comment, irrespective of manufacturer. The incongruity of the seatbelt safety check only showing in race mode, and not in the other two modes, which are more likely to be used, more of the time (if only as it’s a 2:1 ratio of options) is the point. I find that sort of inconsistency amusing. Nothing more.
