It's up for sale and using the same photos as used in the article.

Great car - nice write up too

You’d need to be brave to choose one over the current supercar options:
720S, Performante, 488 etc. but I guess none of these offer a manual.

If old school thrills with massive horsepower are your criteria there’s not much else

laugh

I wonder if it’ll be replaced by a MCLaren, Performante or 488?
Will be fun finding out.

He signs off the classified much the same as the article; specing a new M600

For the benefit of the (yet again) ill informed, the cynical and the doubters... he’s sold this car once and bought it back because he loved it so much. He’s now selling so he can spec his very own brand new one.

Lovely to see that he's buying one new. I've seen nothing but praise from those who have been lucky enough to drive them but they're not exactly flying out of the factory... I suspect every sale Noble get is a pretty major lift to them. smile

Hi all,
My car, my article.

Firstly a note for the keyboard warriors (Yes, I know I shouldn't feed the trolls) you are are 100% correct. I am selling the car to make way for....a brand new one spec'd entirely to my taste. What's your beef?
With this being such a rare car, I've been asked numerous times to put pen to paper as an owner, something which I was reluctant to do while in the honey moon period and still wearing rose tinted glasses. My 1 year ownership anniversary passed a couple of weeks ago, whereby I also had the annual service carried out. I was expecting something negative to come back from the service but a £10 vacuum hose was the only item found needing replacement. What I've written is an honest an accurate description over 1 years ownership. Why the st slinging? Do I say bks to it and not write the article or do I not sell her? I'm buggered if I do & buggered if I don't confused
One things for sure - next time I'm asked to take time out of my already very busy day to write something, I won't bother - nice one guys. Well done clap

Rant over and now on to some of the other questions:

Very good. I had a drive in one from SVR last year, which was this colour but had white wheels, perhaps this is the same car with some alterations made. Either way, it's a great car and I agree with everything you have said about it. Part of the sales pitch was that for a mega-performance supercar it is (apparently) very cheap to service.
The very same car buddy. The white wheels and smurf blue interior had to go though thumbup

As some who owned a Noble M12 for quite a long time (6 years) I do feel the M600 looks very dated. In fact, I think it's styling was dated from day 1.
I agree - the styling is a bit dated and stuck in the 90's. I do like it though thumbup

Hey Wyn - long time no speak bud. I nearly came to wedgefest this year - with a TVR badge stick on the bonnet. Sadly wifeys plans didn't align hehe

Top of the list for when the lotto win comes. I don't know what it is exactly but I'd have this over any other super car. I like its understated styling and the lack of electronic driver aids. It'd make a perfect companion for my E30 M3. cloud9
An original E30 M3 would make a perfect companion to the M600 - I've always had a softspot for them after watching touring car racing in the early 90's thumbup

Hi,

Thanks for taking the time to tell us all the really life view of what appears to be a truly fantastic car

Just one question, considering that the car is factory owned, and ticks lots of the option boxes, what's the appeal to specing a new one, what would that have that this one doesn't?
Welcome smile
I've always wanted to treat myself to a brand new car built for me. I was hoping for a new TVR Griffith but I can't see it happening any time soon frown

One thing that puzzles me is how Noble went from the earlier cars, which were comparatively affordable to these which were several times more expensive, then nothing ?
I suspect you're not alone and that's why they haven't sold in larger numbers. The car is aimed at a completely different market from the earlier cars but many people (including me until I saw and drove one) are put off by the price tag when the car wears a Noble badge. I suspect if Lotus (just as an example) all of a sudden produced a ludicrously fast premium model to compete with Ferrari etc, and asked £300k for it, then they'd have the same issue? confused

MrFQ said:
It's actually for sale

So you are getting a new one!

Good timing on the article or advert biggrin
A bit of both. I'd already promised to write the article after 1 year of ownership. Earlier in the year I decided I wanted a new one. I'm now in early discussions with Noble about a new car. As per rant above - do I say bks to it and not write the article or not sell the car?
Buggered if I do, buggered if I don't frown

J4CKO said:
Surprised its for sale after the OP said he is relieved to have found a car he has bonded with ?

One too many "Analogue" moments perhaps ?
Yes - there have been a couple of "Analogue" / brown trouser moments hehe

J4CKO said:
ABS is a legal requirement I believe, suppose could always pull the fuse ? but begs the question why would you want to, maybe on a track but, in the dry it rarely activates on me, even when really hammering the brakes.
I'd like the reassurance of ABS too. I've never experienced the wheels locking up - even under very hard braking, but I'll confess I've never driven the car in anger in anything other then perfect conditions.

.... and the interior is comparable to a late 1990s Fiesta Ghia.
Edited to add, it reminds me of a Lister Storm or a Spectre R42.
90's fiesta Ghia? Really?
Agree with the Lister Storm / Spectre R42 comment - 90's supercars cloud9

Correct. I owned the car first time in 2016 and deeply regretted letting it go. I bought it back last year thumbup

Hi Lee,

Just had a read through your cars, some variety and some number of changes.

Really curious how come you disliked the Aero 8 coupe so much?

Also, what is your perfect spec M600 - are there many non-cosmetic options you can spec on these cars?

For the record, the F40 is my childhood dream car and remains so, this Noble is the closest modern day equivalent, and for less than a quarter the price of an F40 today, is something of a bargain!

Be glad no-one has mentioned the words "kit car" like the idiots that did so on the thread I found about when you bought it back.

The Aero Supersports was fantastic to look at and had the best sound of ANY car I've ever owned. However it was full of rattles and shakes - its a Morgan thing. They all do it. It was a wonderfully bespoke piece of kit and would be glorious to cruise around in but not to take for a spirited drive. They have a great following and I can fully understand why, but for me, not a drivers car. I only had it 5 weeks hehe

This week's favoured M600 spec is a dark red carbonsport with dark grey interior and dark red stitching to match the bodywork. I'm not aware of many non cosmetic options apart from the newer infotainment system, paddleshift and removable roof.

The green carbon sport is one of the most amazing cars I've ever seen.

It was mesmerising.

If only it had been RHD.

It varies from car to car, be interesting to know what cars do truly allow you to completely switch the systems off and which dont, wonder if my M135i does, it has a Sport Plus drive mode that tells you its been switched off and a separate button to turn the Stability/traction control off but not sure if you are completely on your own ?
There's absolutely no chance the ABS will be off in any mode. I also wouldn't be surprised if the stability control still came on in sport plus if you got the car massively out of shape.

Yeah, ABS is mandatory, you can usually only inhibit its operation by pulling the fuse, a quick Google suggests that the Stability control is on in Sport, Partially off in Sport Plus and can be fully turned off in any mode by pressing and holding the DSC button for six seconds.

Need to try Sport Plus a bit more and see how out of shape it lets it get before intervening, Sport is like my 350Z was in that it is a bit too zealous, dont claim to be a hero and I spent a lot of money (to me) on it so I dont want to bin it.

I was asked by other PHers to write this article!

If I'd written it early on in my ownership, you'd say "Rose tinted spectacles" or "you'll have your pants pulled down at the first service".
Instead, I wait exactly 1 year to give an owners account - 1st year of ownership, don't hide the fact I'm after a new one and still get slated.
If I hadn't written anything, I'd get branded a party-pooper for not writing anything.

Whats the answer fella? - please enlighten me as from where I'm sitting I'm buggered either way confused

The answer is to ignore the haters, largely they're idiot's.

Fair play to you, you've had some lovely metal, wrote an article because you were asked to, and I for one take it as an honest account of ownership, why else would you be selling for your own brand new one. (Considering your history of swapping brands)

Probably 95% of people who read this piece enjoyed and appreciated it (likely didn't post though), the other 5% seemingly posted drivel trying to pick holes in the article, you and the car.

Reflects more on them than it does on you, and frankly if it puts off others from writing about their cars then shame on them.
