It should; renders the whole article redundant unfortunately.
I was asked by other PHers to write this article! If I'd written it early on in my ownership, you'd say "Rose tinted spectacles" or "you'll have your pants pulled down at the first service".
Instead, I wait exactly 1 year to give an owners account - 1st year of ownership, don't hide the fact I'm after a new one and still get slated.
If I hadn't written anything, I'd get branded a party-pooper for not writing anything.
Whats the answer fella? - please enlighten me as from where I'm sitting I'm buggered either way
Enjoyable read and a great car.
I have to say some of the disdain for the article given the car is now up for sale is a little misguided. It's not as if L33 is selling it to get out of the marque and into Ferrari, McLaren etc. The chap is putting is hard earned down on a brand new M600 to his spec, surely that is praise indeed!
I never knew these were so rare, I saw 2 parked up in the camping at Goodwood a few years ago!

Here at Pistonheads we get to read for free. I have no problem if the car is up for sale. 1. It is clearly evident that Lee is an enthusiast 2. It's only to get another one 3. Find another M600 owner to do a write up, they'd all fit in a large minibus. Some folks are so cynical.
Back to the Noble. What a fabulous machine and I am not surprised it has got under your skin. There seems to be a real depth to the driving experience and the 'ring video where Monkey Harris takes one of these and a V8 Atom out for a spin is a favourite. This is precisely the sort of car Ferrari can't build now even though, arguably, the M600 is the nearest you can get to an F40 in a modern day machine. Enjoy sir, and thank you for the write up. Do keep us posted with spec and ownership of M600 mk2. I, for one, will be listening with great interest.

+1 looking forward to the spec of the new car.
Hving spent half an hour drooling over the Noble website, I'd like the Carbon Sport and the Speedster for the Mrs please.

Well, I very much enjoyed the write up. And when other PHers chipped in that it was now for sale I didn't take it as marketing ploy. I assumed, as per the article, that you were selling as you were now ordering a new one. The timing seemed a bit coincidental of course, but maybe we should all stop being so damn cynical and just appreciating the content for what it is. So thanks Lee, not all of us are here to knock you down.
I've always been a big fan of the M12/M400 and when the M600 was introduced I didn't much like it. I can't even remember why, because looking at it now I do like it.....I like it a lot! People struggle with the cost Vs the fact it's "outdated", and I get that, but is it really so wrong to be oldskool? An F40 is outdated but how many people would give both bks and their kidneys to own one? Hearing the comparison to being like a more contemporary F40 was interesting too, had never thought of it like that, and certainly adds to the appeal. It's easy for me to say these things when I don;t have a penny to my name and could only dream of owning such a car, but for me the outdated looks and lack of flair is very much a positive. I love 80s and 90s stuff, and most modern super/hyper cars don't really float my boat these days, they all just seem to a very fast vajazle on wheels for the investors and Arab playboys.
So it's a big thumbs up from me, and as others have said, just take the criticism with a pinch of salt. And as for the M600, whether you like the looks or the price tag or not, we need to remember that stuff like this is a dying breed. We need to embrace these analogue, brown trouser makers!

Cheers guys - good to know the world isn't full of haters.
For me though, its just a little focused for having fun on track days rather than something I could use (if needed) for all occasions.

Question to Lee - has an Ultima GTR (now EVO Coupe) ever appealed to you?
Funnily enough I did look at the old GTR a couple of years back. I think for the majority it would make a cracking weekend toy with huge performance potential and a great sense of occasion. For me though, its just a little focused for having fun on track days rather than something I could use (if needed) for all occasions.

I'm not sure why your reference to your M12 is relevant? Chalk and cheese.
As for the looks, I can understand they might not be to everyone's taste, but personally I like them.
I just wanted to give some context to my comment about the M600's looks. So whilst I clearly like Noble as a marque, I'm not overly taken by the M600's looks. I realise on is a 30k car and one is a 200k car. As for the looks, I can understand they might not be to everyone's taste, but personally I like them.
Superb wright up that Lee,
I saw both M600’s for the first time at Autosport in January, totally blown away.....
Photo’s just don’t do these cars justice.
A proper drivers car no doubt which appeals more than anything plus the rarity factor.
The carbon bodywork is absolutely outstanding has to be seen to appreciate.
Worth every penny after inspection.
That will be special having one built to your spec.
Drop Euro tonight straight to Noble for an M600 Carbon Sport in the morning then onto to States to bring the new ZR-1 back,
nothing else matters......

Thanks for an excellent write up. It's nice to see that there are others out there who don't want a flappy gearbox, nanny gadgets, a farting exhaust etc.
But, I have to ask other posters, what exactly 'dates' the styling? Is it because of the lack of silly vents, slashes and pointless aggressive details? Or the lack of a modern infotainment (itself a word I've come to hate)? In my view, this is a handsome machine, which wont date. A drivers car like this doesn't need Facebook/ttter connections, a smartphone will outdo most satnavs.
In a world of dying drivers cars, with manual gearboxes and handling, a true petrolhead should be thankful it can be bought. If only they could produce a cheaper, entry level car again. A rival to the TVR, perhaps.
O. P, I hope you enjoy every second with your new toy.

A great write up and again I'm not sure why anyone would have a problem with the car being sold to buy a new one and spec it himself. But, I have to ask other posters, what exactly 'dates' the styling? Re. the styling.. I wasn't a fan when it came out. To me it has similar styling cues with the Ferrari 360, when in 2012, the 458 was out.
I think time has been kind to its styling and its appeal is in its unassuming appearance.
