Any tips on getting a Paddock pass? I heard somewhere that membership gets you in...
Available only to GRRC members who are not supposed to sell them on.Have been to every day of every Revival meeting and still love it - my earliest memory being stood on the bank opposite the pit entry as Ray Hanna took a slight liberty with CAA regulations!

I went last year - my second time going - and was disappointed that the standard tickets no longer give you access to what is the best part, the paddock. You have to pay extra to get close to the top cars. Lame.
Certainly all the years I can remember the main paddock was off limits to pass holders only. Molsheim said:

GRRC membership is the only way, waiting list is a couple of years. I got into the paddock last year by cadging a "press" pass off one of the organising committee. It's who you know .
It was useful for obtaining photos of the competing cars, and there are other displays in there, like last year all 4 of the 1927 Delage GP team, which otherwise took no part in the proceedings. I found that a bit odd. Also they recreated the pits for the 1957 British GP to celebrate Vanwall's win, with a decent number of GP cars from that year.
Otherwise, you don't miss much.
(Grandstand tickets are highly recommended if you book early enough. They effectively double the price of entry, but are a bonus if it rains, and another bonus if it's really hot. In addition, I'm an OAP, and it's nice to sit down from time to time. I had no trouble getting a seat whenever I needed one.)
