RE: PH Service History: The answer to everything
Discussion
I drove a NB and loved it, love the shape as well but after a long time looking for one without the rusty chassis members and rear sills / arches, I gave up and bought a ND. As mentioned previously, rust and NB go hand in hand. One day they will be the MX5 which people will want due to their rarity.

The mk3 May be the most unloved, but I preferred the facelift model I had to the mk1 I ran for 6 years prior. It felt just as fun as the mk1, but was more refined.
If I was to buy, or recommend, a used MX-5 now it would be a mk3.5 2.0 SE. The 2.0 SE gets the bigger engine and LSD, but without the extra pointless bling. The fancy shocks on the Sport will likely need to be replaced at this age anyway.
We bought a brand new mk3.5 2.0 SE in late 2009 and ran it for 4 years. Great car although I thought it rolled a bit in the corners. Pretty sure they didn't have a LSD though, that was only on the sport with its 6 speed gearbox.
Unfortunately impending parenthood meant we had to sell it.
That Harvard was up with the same seller for quite some time before it was eventually auctioned. The auction site (not eBay) has it as selling for £2,100 in April. Interesting that it is back up for sale 5 months later having apparently done no additional mileage but with a more than 60% price increase.
