The idea that 50:50 is somehow "perfect" is pure marketing bullst but it's still some people's preferred balance.
Didn't take you long to turn up here. I expect you're hoping there'll be a "cheap 'n' cheerful" version with some sort of weedy Toyota 1.8 lifted out of a hatchback....

So, because of the camouflage, you couldn't possibly tell that it looks a little dull (which you can and it does if I am honest) but you can clearly already tell that it is going to be "epic" with hardly any details at all. Right. Presumably you'll consider anyone that doesn't instantly want to suck it's dick a whiner as oppose to someone who just has a differing opinion to yourself?
No, you can’t tell much at all, that’s what the camo is for. Whilst I bow to your superior knowledge on dick sucking I will have a side bet that this is going to be a very good car. As I said, infinitely more interesting than a 911. rockin said:

Oh dear...
Oh dear what?? I am quite happy with my choice for the everyday family car thank you, not that I'd be the slightest bit concerned with your opinion of it. Oh dear...
Which of your two current fleet would you use to carry four people and their luggage around the beaten tracks where I live?? Oh dear.....

But they are just a hateful piece of annoying garbage. More so than most any other option to be honest, dick sucking or other. Which of your two current fleet would you use to carry four people and their luggage around the beaten tracks where I live?? Oh dear.....

I take it you don’t like it then?
How anyone can run a car like this down is beyond me tbh. What’s not to like exactly?
I don't think anyone is running it down particularly, just not overly excited by the basic design, which can cleary be seen despite the camouflage. This could well be just the base model though with more elaborate designs to come for the more cooking versions. How anyone can run a car like this down is beyond me tbh. What’s not to like exactly?
It's those who are so desperate to defend it, without knowing jack all about it themselves, that are going to the extremes.
Rocking has done nothing other than play the man as oppose to ball so far.

It's doing its job perfectly without a single niggle, so far. You're experience of it is of no consequence to me. Not that this is a thread about an Audi hatchback anyway??

Unless you’re on the design team none of us know much. I just don’t understand the criticism of a design that’s clearly in prototype form. All modern are so hobbled by the rules that, whilst we can all wish for a Wacky Races jet powered purple car, the reality is one that conforms to the relevant impact criteria. I hope they cover it in spoilers and stick a turbocharged V8/6 in there putting out 600HP+. Fortunately some of us go out and spend real money on real sports cars while all of this internet twittering goes on in the background.
The latest Corvettes have been shifting out of the showrooms in quite serious numbers and IMO the new mid-engine car should be quite something. Might be quite a bit more expensive, though.
For anyone who makes a visit to Nashville, Tennessee the Corvette factory is only about an hour up the road in Bowling Green, Kentucky and definitely well worth a visit.

Fortunately we are not all shallow enough to judge each other on the cars that we have bought or how much we have spent on them. I'm sure that there are plenty on here who could look down on your own garage if they so desired. What defines "real money" by the way?The latest Corvettes have been shifting out of the showrooms in quite serious numbers and IMO the new mid-engine car should be quite something. Why does Chevrolet need to make the iconic Corvette mid engine?
Well set up front engine has near same weight distribution as a mid engine, their performance on racetrack confirms this.
Not true. Well set up front-engined cars can get to about 50/50 front-rear weight distribution, but ideally you want a rearward weight bias to aid traction, something like 60/40 as typically found in mid-engined cars.Well set up front engine has near same weight distribution as a mid engine, their performance on racetrack confirms this.
I will probably like "the new car" very much, but imho a "Corvette" should be a front engined slightly hooligan-ish car all too willing to safely let the back end step out of line at 10mph. Let this be something else, possibly a "better" car than the present Corvette, but not replacing it.
I have heard from a reliable source that the C8 will be made in RHD.
I think mainly for the Australian market ,but GM are bound to sell them here as well.
As a C7 owner I think this is a shame.
Part of the attraction of owning a Corvette up to now has been the "American experience "of having the wheel on the left.
I also like the fact that I own something a bit different and I am unlikely to see another Vette on the road.
A RHD C8 will be more pricey than a Mustang but I still think they will sell in reasonable numbers if the pricing is similar to the C7.

Early scoop on C8-R - including a sound-bite of its sub 4liter turbo V8. No more pushrod thunder.
