Modern BMWs - The ultimate upperclass chav machine

That's a bit cheap to resort to extreme comparative scenarios as a counter argument.
You cannot ignore the growing amount of young/inexperienced and belligerent people now driving around in cars of the 150-230 bhp range, much more capable than what was only available to them back before the 2000's. This very profile of driver combined with a moderate/good performing vehicle with driver aids and isolates drivers from speed translates to them being mobile hazards.
Private plates and rude parking aside, the less tolerable issues I observe almost every day is that said drivers not giving way at roundabouts and junctions due to their overconfidence in the car or just plain impatience and contempt for other drivers.
Exiting busy slip roads (M11 south to M25 is a classic spot) where the neo-BMW/Audi driver would wait until 20-30 yards whilst on lane 2 or lane 3, before forcing themselves into lane 1 and then clipping into the slip road exit when there were safe gaps to merge in 100 yards or so behind.
Poor judgement of appropriate speed given the conditions, 45 in a 30, 100 in a 60 etc etc
None of the above will be fixed by arguing on a forum, especially with those who have vested interest in defending the brand of car mentioned here, I only comment on what I observe.

I would suggest there is also a distinct lack of interest in roadcraft too which is responsible for many aspects of bad driving today.
In short BMW drivers are s, it’s no great surprise is it?
Not all, as I even hired one once, but most drive in an aggressive, not let anyone in type manner, particularly in the South. And it is predominantly BMW drivers. Whether that is solely due to PCP deals or something else I could not say, but would think these people were somewhat safer in underpowered 2ndhand metros than all powerful 320d German autobahn cruisers.
And to be fair, AV has held the fort outnumbered, and has taken on and continues to wipe the floor with Deep Thought, Brooking, Mike335 24/7 (and some others) during a busy working week. Fair play.

I’m nothing to do with AV, as should be evident by my views on turbocharging...

I can reconcile the fact that there are two Porsche owning, loud mouthed, low rent knock offs of Jeremy Clarkson out there

He wasn’t too forthcoming in the School Run debate either
Roadsmash. Still waiting for a 718 deal <500 over the term (amortised cost, not 9+23 lol), so I bought with cash...
Currently in the market for a new A6 2018 deal tho. Let me know

No, I'm still not one of them. Just cause you think it does not make it so. And AV has not 'held the fort', he has carried on arguing on his own in an argument going nowhere. Honestly, no one is wiping the floor here. Just stupid comments left right and centre. Chief amongst which is the generalisation that all BMW driver a are s.
