Its an EV, it should be governed by actual speed limits and have an optimal and safe acceleration ability. High levels of performance etc shouldnt be a requirement. All of these EV's coming out trying to replicate high performance deisels just do not make sense. Why make something econimical to then allow it to drain the battery uneconimically and shorten its range.....
Utterly bizarre comment.(Excluding Germany and its autobahns)

Rather relaxed wheel grip from the driver, casual one handed into the start finish straight! I take it it's incredibly light steering.
Saw one of these in the metal in Soho a few weeks ago, looks very very good. I would happily own one of these. Having driven electric cars for a few hundred miles now I can see the appeal of the instant torque and the whisper quiet ride (so long as there's still a decent sounding car I can jump into!)
I was in the market for an i3 to be the frugal runaround when not in my M140i but then I was shown a crazy good ipace lease deal that's hard to ignore!
I wanted it to be great, pre-ordered one, but the build quality was awful, with acres of cheap black plastic, and a really cramped cabin. The last nail in was that it ended up so expensive, £80k however I optioned it. So I cancelled. A P400e for a bit I think until EV comes a bit further forward. Interesting. That flies in the face of nearly every comment I've read online from people who have been to test the car. Even those that have power consumption concerns like the build quality of the interior! Honestly, I think it's probably one of the best interiors out there at the moment.....if you ignore the Infotainment.RacerMike said:

The I-Pace that was on display at the Beijing Motor Show recently also had a very unremarkable interior. With lots of plastic and it felt indeed very cramped inside. Was really disappointed as I think interiors will gain importance in the fure as a diiferentiation characteristic. Furthermore, it featured some very flat non metallic red pain that reminded me of a 92‘ Celica.Really a lost opportunity for Jaguar to show off an outstanding interior, im afraid. Would have set them apart from the likes of Tesla Model X and Audi E-Tron. I miss the days when Jaguar was able to stun the crowd as with the original F-Type concept from 2000 for example!

Clearly just differing opinions. I can't stand the Tesla interiors, and was never really a fan of the F-Type inside! I guess it just comes down to what you personally like!I'd say the below is pretty daring really by modern interior standards. And it has far far less plastic than the Audi, or Tesla. The whole dash is leather!

If it's anything like the F-Pace, that'll be the range-topping model with the big screen option. More lowly models will have PVC or similar, and no twin-needle stitching, plus a smaller screen.I'd say the below is pretty daring really by modern interior standards. Still not a bad place to be...but if this thing genuinely IS £80k then it's pitching against the RRS* and similar...
* Yes, I know...the fuel / running costs...and I agree...thing is how many buyers will see that first-off.

Screen is definitely the same across all variants, but you're right that the very base model has a slush mould dash rather than leather.....it's no worse than what Porsche, Merc, Audi and VW offer though!Gassing Station | General Gassing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
