I can't stand the look of the lobster claw wheels of the 997.1!! yuck
Funny how we all have different tastes, although liking the same car.

I'm a fan of the 19" Sports Design wheels myself:
HERESY THAT IS!! I LOVE the crab claws. Literally my favourite wheels design of all time. Even beats the Alfa teledials I had.

Hi does that 'ruin' a wheel? FFS, there is some utter tosh peddled on here!
It doesn't. He's just saying silly, reactionary things for the sake of it.

Known as 'peelers', I really like this design of wheel, and yes there was a sandstorm that day:

Not OEM, but still worth a mention.
Nah, they make the ride too stiff.

Still a great looking wheel - and unbeatable for the drama of those long-eared spinners!

Nicked from another thread, but love the utilitarian steelies on this 5er! Who needs fancy alloys, everyone has them smile

I would prefer steelies to teledials, but otherwise:

Oh yes. They remind me of the monoblocks mentioned earlier.

I detest directional wheels where they end up backwards on one side of the car. They just look ste.

Also these are bad (and directional):

Whereas these are a lot better

The problem is the red car is a higher spec than the silver car. They really fked that up.

Always quite liked the Audi 9 Spoke used on the Mk1 TT and a number of other Audis of similar era. Unusual to find a single wheel design that worked so well across so many different models IMHO.

Personal taste... For me, the silver rims on the red car are just a bit generic - could be anything from the last 20 years - while the black rims on the silver car are simply gopping, cheesy and naff - fallen straight off a blinged Corsa.

True indeed! And it also works in different dimensions from 17" to 19"!

I think the latest Ferrari wheels are much too spindly - for me, some of the most elegant were the F355

I dislike any wheels where the spokes are thicker at the rim then they are at the hub - they just look all wrong
