How to fit a square in a circle ? Maybe they were the 3,14 edition :

I think these were on a LUV (light utility vehicle), sone smallish 4x4 or PickUp from the 80s.

They are easy to clean and have sidewall, though.

To restore some class to this thread though, I'll leave you with the original OEM wheels on the V8V.

The 18” ones were dreadful, but they were so bad that it’s actually difficult to even find a picture of them on a car. hehe

I recently bought these 295s for my BMW Z4 Coupe - much better than the split-rim 108s it had from new IMHO.

I always liked the 18" Alfa multispokes on a GT we had years ago:

And the Team Dynamics Pro Race 1 on my GP (which I was forced to buy as the original wheels didn't fit over the new AP brakes I foolishly purchased on a whim!)

I don't like wheels that are too fussy - 5 spokes are enough.

(mk3 wheels on a mk1 MR2)
IMO that needs either a smaller wheel and chunkier tyre, or a much chunkier tyre. Doesn't really suit it.
I like it. Looks good to me.
They're only 15" : stock is 14".

I'm too cheap to throw out the half-worn tyres that came with the wheels - it will end up on 195/50 tyres next year.

ps These are the factory alloys : not my cup of tea at all :

Why don’t 3 spokes work ?

Always thought Honda did well with these

To my mind wheels have to draw the eye to the car and not to the wheels themselves - at the very least they should blend in. When they are the right style, you should not notice them, you should only notice them when their style seems wrong.

Any spokes should be radial, and not tangential from the centre. My eye and mind always can picture the ‘forward flowing’ tangential spokes as being rearward flowing on the other side of the car.

Since RUF cars carry their own VIN numbers, these are legit. And very nice at that

BMW style 216s from the 320si.

Photo pinched from google but I have them fitted to my e91 during the winter. Don’t like it when the summer comes round again and it goes back on MV3s. These look so much better in my opinion!

I don't know, but I find it hard to think of any that I like, offhand.

Because 90% of the designs are st. I wouldn't change my two sets of Advans though smile

I like the others, but those fiat wheels are nasty looking.

For me wheels are functional things - so function before form. Should not be easily damaged and also easy to clean. So a simply 5-spoke with a slight dish so that the spokes and centre are 'inside' the rim.

These Jag wheels (on an XJL) were the worst I ever had ... corroded like mad at 3 years old - complained to local Jaguar dealer without a satisfactory resolution

Pretty though.

I keep an eye on XJ's and my ideal spec has them wheels and no interior wood smile

Sleek. Elegant. Simple. Shows off the gorgeous brakes.

What's not to like? They're lovely!
