I don’t know why, but I quite fancy one of these....
Me too. On both counts. Worryingly, Mrs PB likes the look of it as well. Seeing as we already have a front-wheel-drive Disco Sport, it could be a bit odd replacing the MINI as our second car with this. Especially as we live in the 'burbs!
yip I'm a big fan of this, unfortunately unless there is a LWB which is highly unlikely (although there are some good photoshop mock ups going about) I sadly can't find an excuse to buy one as a 3rd car!! The JDM accessories look cool:

There is no real comparison, one is an off-roader which is just about useable on the road. The other is a car which is just about useable off road.
Also the reason the Jimny specification doesn't mention 'front/rear underbody protection' Is because it doesn't really need any thanks to solid axles and a ladder chassis.... (maybe a transfer box guard if you're planning on bouncing it over rocks) This is pretty obvious stuff if you've ever looked underneath one....
I would like to see these two compared off road. As of 12:55, Jimny's first drive article has 85 replies, whereas Aventador SVJ's first drive article only gets 13 replies...
Oh, can we please stop saying this new Jimny looks like a G-Wagen?! The new Jimny looks like the old Jimny (especially MK1 and MK2). And the first Jimny was introduced almost a decade earlier than the first G-Wagen.

I don’t need a 4x4. I don’t even like 4x4s. Or SUVs.
I have never bought a new car. I have never wanted to buy a new car.
Why oh why do I want this so much?! I feel shallow and materialistic. But I just want one.

I don't buy new cars anymore, prefer the cheaper 2nd hand option.
I might have to make an exception ...
This tells us all we need to know about it. It turns otherwise sensible people into lunatics. Well done Suzuki! I might have to make an exception ...
I want mine in yellow with Tonka stickers please.
As a long time fan of true off-roaders (almost 50 years now!), I’m so pleased to see Suzuki continue to stay true to this car’s heritage. Likewise the G- Wagen and Wrangler. Having despaired at the steady loss of this type of rugged vehicle, with bluff lines that are necessarily fit for purpose, I’m delighted to see the sheer number of complimentary remarks being made about the Jimny. It is a niche vehicle, particularly in the UK, but its dedicated following should be noted by certain other manufacturers. Land Rover, I fear, will be missing such an opportunity if the forthcoming Defender veers well away from the traditional off-roader format.
