So this was on the Nurburgring this morning, and going rather quickly. Impressively so. 3 flying laps whilst was there & looked quicker each time...

The original wasn’t a GT car either. It was a sports car.

If you're referring to the MkIV, I think most would disagree with that.

In most people's eyes it was one of the definitive GT cars of its time.
Winning the Japanese GT Championship in 1997, 2001, 2002 and 2005.

Toyota seemingly updated their website overnight, and put some official pictures on there - before quickly taking them down & replacing them with the usual disguised shots. Anyhow...
