Ey ey stop right there. My friend Ares is not a troll. He hates diesel cars same way you hate petrol cars because you cannot afford them. But everyone has a different and respetable opinion about this matter.
I don't hate diesel cars?? My last 3 cars were diesel, culminating in a 380bhp 6-series??vanschpunk said:
Have an F30 330d M Sport Auto in Mineral Grey. Only regret is not getting an estate. My car has all the toys and im lookinh to shift to an estate for baba no.1 arriving. Problem is, im either gonna have to lose some spec (or change to a fecking god awful oyster interior), or change to a 2.0L or petrol. Or change to a horrendous manual (dont understand why anyone would want a manual version of these size of cars). Really is hard to find a combo that i want.
What combo do you want?I have (almost) the exact same car as this, but with oyster interior and I have the professional nav. I am one of the wierdos that ordered it as a new car with a manual gearbox - even the salesman was trying to point me to a 335D auto. I bought it when I did as I read that they were stopping the manual in the 340i LCi estate.
3.5 years later and i still love the car. I've only had one auto, which i thought was alright at first but I did miss the manual after a while.

.... because we are all different? I had a manual S4 for a few years (the closest Audi equivalent?) and I really liked that with the manual box.
I'm actually in the market for something like this now. I think £17k is overpriced still, but it'll probably find its right price eventually (everything has a price it'll sell at...), which is probably £14.5-15k at my guess. (unless someone really wants that exact spec, but then if so why haven't they bought it yet?).

•pro nav with widescreen and with enhanced bluetooth
•Xenons
Desirable options (not essential):

A manual in a modern diesel barge F30/F31 etc is just pointless. Infact bloody useless. Everyone seems to forget that these F3X models are all circa the same footprint as an E60 5 series. Huge!!! Not many manual E60s where sold. And not many left either. Scrap

Back on subject, I'd wonder if the gearbox makes it any less tunable? E.G torque, probably not, I never remember thinking the 340i was dealt short by having an auto, in fact the auto box made it a far better all rounder, would be interesting to drive a manual back to back with the auto. I'd have it on the rarity of a straight six, rear wheel drive, manual tourer, something BMW likely will never make again.

I have a 735i that does 15mpg, I've had 3 Imprezas, an EP3 Type R, Leon Cupra R, couple of ST170's on the cheaper side and as of Thursday a 335i Coupe. Try again. Can't wait to hear what you drive though Mr. Belfort Although, I can't imagine I'll be too thrown back, then again with the way you seem to type, I'd be shocked if you were actually old enough to drive lil cowboy
Seems pointless to own those cars is your love for diesel cars is so big. Don't betray yourself. louiebaby said:

Excuse my ignorance, I've not had a keyless go BMW... is that a fault above? Surely even if the owner opened the car just to take the pic, the car would notice the key and shouldn't display "remote control not found" etc? Or do I just not understand how it works...??
