Your Bitter is proving to be very popular
If any PHer's want to follow his page he'd be well chufted to have more enthusiasts checking in to see what he finds

As a dyed-in-the-wool car guy, born with a steering wheel in my mouth, petrol running through my veins (and other car enthusiast clichés), it pains me to admit my introduction to Bitter was via The Goldbergs (an American TV show).
This is a still from the TV show. Murray Goldberg (played by actor Jeff Garlin) is filling it with petrol in this scene, I believe.
I did lots of Googling afterwards, as I hate not knowing about rare and obscure cars.

the first I saw in the wild was owned, I believe, by an airline pilot who flew out of Luton in the early'80s. It was silver, on a personal plate IIRC, "PRnnnn". Seeing it queueing for a parking space was a bit like seeing Marlene Dietrich waiting for a trolley at Sainsburys This is a still from the TV show. I love these, warts and all.
If I may get literary for a moment, Bitter and Glas, and even Porsche with the tranxaxle models, were the car design version of that old German longing for Italy that's been with us at least since Goethe. "Know'st thou the land where the lemon-trees bloom", etc.
That dream died a long while ago, and today all we have to show for us is Audi, BMW, and Mercedes. Whoop di doo.
