I honestly feel that spending these amounts of money on cars is retarded. Investment and a bit of philanthropy for a more prosperous future (be it for mankind or your own offspring), that's how one should roll. A collectable car or two next to the dailies is enough for anyone.
You sound like a riot.

Oops - must have missed that one! (and for the basic F1 too). Can I have a F50 instead?

Put way too much time into this...

I think something like this, with the £70k odd spare I'd probably spend it on a somewhat discreet mile munching cruiser

Miura SV £1,350,000
Ferrari F40 £1,000,000+
Singer 911 £500,000
Lexus LFA £500,000
Lancia Delta S4 £500,000+
1970 Dodge Challenger 426 Hemi £350,000
Honda NSX-R £250,000+
Nissan Hakosuka 2000 GTR £200,000
1967 Ford MUstang GT500 £200,000
Alfaholics GTA-R £200,000
Facel Vega HK500 £200,000
BMW 3.0 CSL £150,000
Mercedes 280SL £150,000
1970 Aston Martin DBS £120,000
Gordon Keeble GK1 £80,000
Renault 5 Turbo £80,000
Datsun 240z £50,000

Aston DB4 GT Zagato - possibly the most beautiful car ever built - £1.5m
The last DB4 GT Zagato sold at auction went for roughly £10M. Even a DB4 GT without the Zagato coachwork would be something like double your £1,5M estimate.

Cars for me one day will be like my wine collection.

The wine we have pays for the wine we drink once it is bought, stored, sold or traded.

So in relation to cars, I'd like a few good ones that don't get driven much but appreciate sufficiently to net off the cars that depreciate and get the miles on them.

Dailies:
- Audi Q8 (£90k)
- Full fat Range Rover (£100k)

Part dailies/part fun:
- Alfa Guilia Quad (£65k)
- Fiat 695 Biposto (£40k)
- Audi R8 V10+ (£150k)
- Porsche GT3 991.2 (£200k)

Track Toy:
- McLaren P1 GTR (£2.3m)

Car transporters:
- 2 premium ones (£15k each)

That's only just shy of £3m. Amazing really that you can get all that ^^ for half of what these special edition Astons cost.

I'd have more fun building my own racetrack for 6m (I don't know how much a race track costs irl), then share it with the community / people I like and drive round it in my 205.

I guess if you have £6m to buy two aston martins then you probably have the funds to build a race track anyway, but this is besides the point.

But if it was to be a car alternative, it would have to be,

Peugeot 205 in various trims
Jaguar XJ220
1970 Dodge Charger R/T
Ferrari F50
Ferrari LaFerrari
Jaguar D type
Shelby Daytona replica
Skyline, Supra, Evo
Renault 5 Turbo

You could buy 857 brand new Dacia Sanderos at list price. At that level you should be able to get a bulk discount to make it a round 1000.
