Does it beep on boot? A sequence of beeps you don't normally here?

You are just looking at the Bios screen. Doesn't mean you have malware necessarily, but it could mean it cannot find your hard disk where the OS resides.

Use the arrow keys to navigate across to 'Exit' and then hit 'Enter'. If it asks you to save anything on exit say 'No'. It should reboot fine; a machine that can't read the boot disk won't default to the bios, it'll just have a black screen saying it can't boot. Even easier just press and hold the power key until it goes off, then restart it.

If the laptop is continually booting into the bios then it's most likely you have a sticking key. Depending on the make and model that key could be F2, F12, Delete or similar. Give all the keys a good tap or three to check none is stuck down and sending you into the bios unintentionally.

That's the BIOS. Do you have a key that's stuck? You usually need to hold one down on boot up to bring the BIOS screen up.
