in all seriousness though is anyone else getting pissed off with "the people's vote" b
ks? All I hear on the radio is "the people's vote" - we had one of those 2 years ago, that's what's led to the current mess/situation/whatever. The referendum WAS the people's vote, surely whatever we get now is more like the "regret vote" or "politician's vote"?

If you want to do traitorish, nefarious, Quisling acts. You give a a fluffy name.
Eg. The Patriot Act.
No American Senator of their right mind could possibly vote against that.
Turns out it is the most Devastating piece of legislation against the public’s eighth of privacy

I see no prominent Leavers backing this.
Traitor is a very strong word to use.
But I think it applies here.
Leaving the EU is simple. We just leave.
All this arse gravy of Remainers saying “We didn’t know what the details meant.... insert more traitorous words here....”
Quite simply stop wheeling out a never ending procession of die hard Remainers telling us “This is the people’s vote”
Instead show us some Julie Hartley Brewer or equivalents that have changed colours.

The campaigning was run within parameters

Remain have kept campaigning daily since (over 2 years with millions spent and now say. “Run it again “.
I don’t have an issue with a vote on the deal. But “Remain” must not be on it.
You can’t have 2 campaigns with equalise funding (except one gets £9 Million head start). And then at the deadline the vote is binding. To then have the losing campaign spend many millions more over two years to say “We are ready now. “Please run something again with Remain as an option” and this is binding.
It is just wholly undemocratic or as our losing friends would say “extra democracy”

Question was asked, question was answered.Will of the majority was established & is being implemented. I'm sorry you don't like it.
Remain talking it up in an attempt to pressurise the Govt to give them another vote. That coupled with Project Fear 2 nonsense which potentially has scared some of the Nervous Nellies in to changing their mind and given just 2% majority imho they are hoping to overturn it.
Imho the Ref was Leave then the Govt were voted in on the back of a Leave policy. Hardly rocket science.
