QUE? To my eyes it's a stunner. My kids are now for sale and I'm booking an appointment with the shady local vet to pop out those unneeded excess organs.
I think you'll need to budget rather more than rrp. I'm guessing they were all allocated before ever going on sale.
Unfortunately it takes a while before new kids to sell pop out of the mould.

Knowing XXI century Porsche, I wouldn't be surprised if they do a diesel version too.

Apparently you don't know anything about XXI century Porsche

Really like this. How many calls to Dean Lazante over the last few days around getting this on the road... hehe

No doubt the majority of them will never see a track and end up as part of a collection.
Was waiting for that standard response, yawn

A bit too pastiche. Like the original would look if you were drunk and a bit blind. Feels like they started with the 'Let's make it retro, and then worry about everything else'. I have no doubt it will be stunningly effective. Would just be nice if it could be its own thing.
Agreed.
It’s good, but it’s not right.
Reminds me of some of the tat aftermarket companies put out in the 80’s and sold to rich Arabian collectors.
“Oh but this is ‘official homage’ sir”... in which case let the fawning stampede commence!!

The sooner a proper range topper a la 918 is shown the better....

Err why put lights on a track only car? Will owners be running these at a private Porsche Club night track event? Daft idea and what a huge amount of money to spend on a car with no future. Oh well.

Strueth thats ugly. Glad I won't be seeing it on the roads, makes the Senna look like a supermodel.

It's not April 1st is it? That is truly gopping.

If I wanted a modern 935 incarnation, I'd have a Kremer K3, based on the 997. These can be made road legal too.

Holy st - bleary eyed this morning browsing instagram a mate had posted this and I thought it was an Alpine GT3/4 from the back - did NOT know it was a 911. Think it's a cool concept - Porsche really have got their business heads sorted, must be raking it in.

Shame they'll probably never see a track in anger

Well that got my attention.

Senna will be quicker, but that is better looking for us old blokes who fap off over the centre spread in Octane magazine laugh

Where do I sign?

Clever use of references to the past (for us oldies, anyway), including limiting the run to 77: a nod to the year the first customer 935s were offered.

That’s pretty pretty epic. Love it when manufacturers make pointless stuff like this. Shame the back overhang is quite long. If you could move the back axle 6 inches to the rear it would look so much better imo.

Odious whiff of Marketing gonks at work here.

Take a load of nods to Porsche competition past. Roll it into a car you can't use on the road. Roll into a car that hasn't got a modern race series to compete in (GT3/4 etc). Part suckers with 3/4M for the privilege to have a homage/pastiche to Porsche illustrious past under a dust sheet. Keep fingers crossed that through exclusivity (only 77) they go up in value. Porsche investment gold bullion myth perpetuates.

Licence to print money - you've got to hand it to Porsche.

"it only has to shift 1380kg of track-spec car"

1380kgs isn't exactly lightweight for a track only spec car is it?

Not much like the Moby Dick I remember (Silverstone '78). Not so much a tribute, more a caricature.

Will there be a racing series for it?
