All singing alarm and immobilisers ,Pedalok ,Disclok .
As mentioned earlier ,seats very comfy and had extendable base as well.

Seem to remember that the tyres were an ‘odd’ size (something like 185/55 x14 ?) which weren’t available in as many brands as a more common 50 or 60 profile tyre.
Always pined for one of these as used to be a fast ford fanboy.... then when I was 21 and could afford one test drove a “pristine” example and couldn’t believe how terrible it was. Bought a 106 GTi instead which although it didn’t torque steer into ditches lift off oversteered into them. Much more fun!
Neighbour’s son has one with T3 turbo running “230bhp” on coil-overs, LSD, stripped out with a welded in cage and R888 sticky tyres. Went for a passenger ride and can confirm it goes like a stabbed rat! Ride’s a bit harsh mind and he has arms like Arnie as the steering is heavy beyond belief at low speed.....

I think it was this model of Fiesta that Richard Parry-Jones reported benchmarking when he came in as head of chassis development at Ford. They found that there was more flex in the subframe & mountings than there was in the rear springs ;-) The next Fiesta had somewhat improved suspension.

I love these kind of facts jason61c said:
crap when new, over valued crap now.
Succinct, but accurate Drove one briefly many years ago. It was vile - fidgety handling, unimpressive performance, turbo lag, and iffy brakes. It wasn’t a looker either (the ugliest Fiesta, and that’s saying something) and the alloys made it look even worse.
Why anyone would pay more than £5k for this one is beyond me.
Quite surprised at the negative comments. Then again I've never owned one so can't comment as such.
Looks wise, I love love it and the wheels just set it apart. I think they did a dark grey version with green piping trim which looked the part. Then again the red is nice too. As for the price, I agree with a previous post that this will be aimed at the 'Fast Ford / RS owners club member'
For 15k my funds would be on a Sapphire Cosworth

I had a Fiat MK2 Uno Turbo, as my first hot hatch but always wanted a Fiesta RS Turbo.
As with anything like that it comes down to money and what I could afford at the time.
There is a saying though. 'Sometimes the wanting is better than the having'...
I had loads of mates with Uno Turbos, both MK1 and MK2s and one mate with a Fiesta and the Unos all felt quicker I thought. Plus had much nicer engines and instruments. As with anything like that it comes down to money and what I could afford at the time.

Mind you the overall design of the Uno was a fair bit older though.

When I had my UNO I raced a guy with Fiesta RS. I was gutted when he got to the top of hill quicker than mine.Mind you the overall design of the Uno was a fair bit older though.

When he pulled over I asked him if it was standard - It turned out it was modified. I was happy that.
I mean this thing took off like a rocket, and one thing I did notice was the way he was trying to keep it in a straight line.
Some of the comments made we 'too much power for the chassis'
I have a fondness for any 80’s/90’s hatch with a turbo but having just sold a welded up, rebushed 1.7 Puma with 10 months ticket for £400 - I pity the fool who sinks £15k into a MK3 Fiesta with decent seats and an RS badge.
The RS wouldn’t see which way the Puma went... (a standard one)

I too had a disklock, pedlaock (whatever happened to those?) a stand alone immobiliser (Vecta) and a separate kill switch to the fuel pump.

They were indeed 185/55 x14sSeem to remember that the tyres were an ‘odd’ size (something like 185/55 x14 ?) which weren’t available in as many brands as a more common 50 or 60 profile tyre.
Pirelli P600s as standard
They used the same size on the later 106Gti/Saxo VTS ( pre facelift ) some years later ( Pirelli P700s on the Pug and Michelin SX GTs on the Citroen )
Just as hard to get hold of early on in those model runs as well
