And I guessed you knew....hence why you'd mentioned it. It just made the rest of your comment look stupid and/or pathetic and/or disingenuous wink
Yeah but what do you, ahem, um, drive?

That's not the first time I've heard that. I guess that 2 tonnes (and 4WD in some models) isn't a great recipe for driving enjoyment. Many non-car people think performance cars are just about straight line pace though, and in that sense it is an amazing car to combine that performance with a large luxury saloon. I guess it depends what you want.
It's not a great recipe, however from reviews Mercedes and BMW seem to have cracked it with the M5 and E63S, so it isn't impossible. However, given Tesla seem to be struggling with building a car properly they should probably sort that before programming any crazy drift modes into it.

But the Tesla S isn't an M5 and E63S rival? It's not meant to be at the pinnacle of sports saloons? It's a luxury barge, competing with larger engined 5/7-series and E/S-class.

It's also a 7/8 year old design their first full car etc. Assume it'll get refreshed with new battery etc in a few years.

The model 3 is more relevant to the new 3 series and seems to drive well.

You’re absolute bks spouting on BMW commitment to EV, the fact that the Model 3 isn’t released globally, your total made up bs about everything EV?

I'm happy for you to point out inaccuracies in what I post.

A top BMW exec thinks battery cars will always be more expensive, BMW getting slaughters for sales in USA, Tesla outselling Mercedes, Mercedes going full electric by 2022..

I never said the model 3 was selling everywhere yet, where it is its kicking ass.

Your a relic like this new 3 series.

You said I didn’t know what I was talking about because the Model ‘tt’ was already available, well, it’s not. You said BMW aren’t taking EV seriously, three links posted, no response, obviously.

Basically, you’re a Tesla fanboy who gets slightly ahead of himself. You’re little bubble is just that.

Apology accepted.

BMW drivers are a bunch of s (predominantly). Tesla ‘3 drivers ? Not seen any...

Anecdotal; but so far this week the only drivers to : drive aggressively; cut me up; cut me up again; & block me from changing lanes twice have all been driving one brand. Oh and piling on the horn for about five minutes after I changed lanes a kilometre in front of them: all BMWs. They just don’t seem to know their place / or in the case of the guy I followed on the empty motorway earlier today, the power limitations of their 118d. Weird because the “hate” is usually directed at Audi’s, I’ve just never had an issue with them.

Get out of the way, shut up and learn your true place is with the mass produced ste white goods cars below a fking Insignia. s. I fking hate them.

Pissing myself laughing, now I know you've never been inside one. The S is most certainly a barge, but 'luxury', it certainly isn't. For a premium priced car, it falls well short. Plasticity in the extreme.

Im curious how you could accurately time 5 minutes.

Did you stay in the outside lane, obvs in busy traffic, whilst they tailgated you with the horn on continuously or else let them through but follow close enough so that you could still hear them?

Both options require a degree of specialness

Cheers

How can anyone care this much about what other people drive? Bizarre. Go for a walk in the fresh air before you become a serial killer chap.

Chavs. Porsche lite lol I’ll take your bmw barges on any time. You based in the South by any chance yonex? Am sure I’ve seen your aggressive driving style plenty of times; typical arrogant bmw driving tossers.

It does. But that is still the market they are aiming for, and impacting. And the bulk of drivers are coming from high-end SUVs or 5/7-series or equivalent.

The point is, they are not targeting E63s/M5s, they are targeting large luxury (or exec/high-end/whatever) saloons.

You probably win the award for the most tangental response of the thread, but you're still makes your original comment wrong/disingenuous/trolling/ignorant/or similar.
