ive seen a fair few of the VW/audi brigade do one of these 2 moves;-

2 lanes at traffic lights. right lane to turn right only. lights go amber and they go straight ahead (fast for many but the arrogant ones will take their time and saunter just a few milimetres ahead of you without actually allowing you up the inside)

or

2 lanes straight ahead. your man in the right hand lane on amber boots it across the front of you to take the left turning.

i dont actually think these idiots have a particular destination. i think they are just driving about looking to tick people off. some people go bowling some go to a night club some drive their cars about for the laugh.
They tend to look at the car at the front and guess if they can 'take them.'

Sometime they come across me in my shed, and judge the car and not myself who tends to set off quick rofl

The BMW Bell end grille:-

Is it me or is it mainly older people that seem to do this? Older as in 35/40+?
if the AWD thread is anything to go by, I think it potentially applies to all BMW owners.

I can’t find this very annoying, it’s fairly subtle and only serious BM purists would be irked by coloured stripes, clipped on, as I now know (no, I haven’t got any!). Much worse are Micky Mice or little teddies on aerials. All subjective, of course.

Well I'm a much older BMW owner and none of mine has ever had that on it - or any random M Badges! Although BMW now seem happy to had those out if you pay a bit more! banghead

Why? He's right. You can also add that it's nearly always seen in towns with BD, LE and LU postcodes, too.

But he’s not right is he. It’s a ridiculous statement. Selfish drivers don’t just drive Audis and VW’s.

Anyone that agrees with this statement is a moron.

I’ve been cut up by many Skodas, BMW’s, Porsches, Land Rovers, Mercs, Kias, Fords, Renaults, Peugeots.... the list goes on.

What about people who own more than one car, perhaps an Audi and a Kia... do they instantly start driving like a maniac when they step in the Audi, but drive like Miss Daisy in the Kia?

Yes I drive an Audi, and no I don’t drive selfishly, I indicate regularly, and use the correct lanes.

Half of the car park at my work is filled with Audis and VW’s... and no they aren’t rushing down the main road outside 2 minutes before 9am, ripping the handbrake up and skidding into the car park, they’re driving normally.

Judging drivers by location is also absolutely ridiculous.

Pull your head out!

Agreed, I had a Honda Civic cut right across me, taking first exit on a roundabout from the right lane. I had a feeling he was going to do it, so avoided the otherwise inevitable smash.

People who assume that everyone that drives X brand is going to drive badly or like a 'bell end' is an utter cretin, nicely was proven in the recent BMW themed thread on the very subject.

The reason those assumptions are made is because of what they've witnessed through the window with their own eyes of drivers driving those vehicle brands. No smoke without fire. Naturally the drivers of said brands will get upset and say it's all a nonsense, won't they, mike335i ?

Because it is nonsense. I saw a a driver of a Toyota stall a car once. All Toyotas drivers must have terrible clutch control.

It is just lazy and inaccurate stereotyping.

Hmm, I don't know - Toyotas are all mini cabs / ubers, not renowned for smoothness wink
