That's aside from obvious safety concerns (which can be addressed), lower mpg and poorer handling due to extra weight..
Not a big deal at the pumps. Stick in 100 litres, pop the nozzle back into the pump and wave at the person on the desk for a reset and then go again. I used to have to do it with my ChevyVan until 12mpg finally got to me...
