Awesome cars, i cant remember if the first time I experienced a Honda B16 engine was in a CRX or a EF Civic but either way what great fun. Combining the handling with the power/weight makes these things punch well above their weight!

A mate of mine is a mad CRX fan so I'm sure he will be VERY happy if this one sells for around the £10k mark!!!!!!!!!!. He currently has a standard UK VTI, a UK VTI which did have a B20 swap ( engine/conversion kit is actually for sale at the moment on various Honda FB pages) as a B16A is going back in. He has just picked up a black JDM SIR with a moon roof and a rather tasty H22 Prelude engine swap which I am looking forward to going for a little blast in it.

Bit of a flop really, wasn't it?
A perfect example of a company making a car they think people would buy rather than making a car drivers wanted to buy.
Nail on head.

This is the CRZ I wanted to buy. The supercharged Mugen.

The CR-Z sold really well initially in Japan for a niche car - it just didn't translate that well to other markets.

Remember at the time of the CRX there were import quotas for Japanese cars, so Honda UK only imported ~1500 each year, so that they could maximise their profit on more expensive models such as Accords.

The Mugen RZ was only available in 2013 - they only made 300 and would have cost over 30 grand to land one in the UK if you could get one.

There are 8 Mugen RZ for sale in Japan at the moment, ranging in price from 13k for a high-miler to 24k for a barely run-in car - all plus shipping etc.

£10K for one of those - sorry, I wouldn't want to pay more than £1K if I was in a good mood!

Surely it's just another nose-heavy understeer machine with minimal power and torque-steer all over the place when you rev the t*ts off it!

You have driven or at least had a passenger ride in one? 160hp in 850kg is hardly minimal power is it. Under the skin is a decent chassis , double wishbone suspension all round & a LSD makes for a great handling little package

A quick look at some of the old Best Motoring videos shows a CRX -SIR putting in the same lap time around Tsukuba as a Mazda RX7 and 3 seconds quicker than a MX5 & AE86.
