You don't need to go anywhere, I'm not telling you what to do. I'm genuinely just saying that my observations tended to differ from when you were out towards Brixton, Peckham, Herne Hill, Dulwich, Balham than just north of the river.
Lol, okay. I'm building a house in one of these areas and will gladly prove you wrong, again. wink
If it's Herne Hill or Dulwich you must be or will be a rich man thumbup

Your right i didnt but you did say in this photo so....

So all the ones i pointed out that dont appear to have rear lights/lights, the reflectors are indeed lights?
Not sure, will need to find out the criteria from OP as he seems to change his tune about the requirements all the time, but every cycle I can see in the video had a rear light working.

That's consistent with what I see in London most weeks. Again, where is the "chaos" repeatedly described (by only one poster) ?
One poster - is that apart form all the others on this thread reporting similar? If you're going to accuse people of being mentally ill try not doing a good impression of being challenged yourself.
.
Simply reporting what I see (as I have no need to invent things by using 12 year old statisticians). If you think that means I am mentally challenged then that really confirms my suspicions about your own level of mental instability. Was this in the most "favourable" part of town ? Probably. So what ? It was in London.
No chaos whatsoever. I haven't seen anyone else in this thread reporting "chaos" in London.

You're babbling and no, I'm not so crass as to call someone on the Internet mentally ill... I said you were doing an impression! Learn to read.

Learn to read, coming from you. At least I don't continually invent things that people haven't written. It's not being crass calling you mentally ill : I am just reading the stuff you write and draw the conclusion. You provide all the evidence, in spades. Happy to be wrong btw but you've been doing a brilliant job reinforcing my view over the past few months.

You realise what a flashing light means? one/off/on/off/etc.

Being brutally honest using mental illness as a jibe shows you up for the genuinely unpleasant person you truly are. I hope that should you genuinely come across mental illness in your family or friends you will take it seriously and not just treat it glibly as your treatment of it here suggests you might. I shan't hold my breath though!

So why worry about cyclists safety at all then when the figures are so low compared to people killed in vehicles?
Exactly. Why the multiple, multiple threads? It's not about road safety at all, it's just anti-cycling trolling. Why, I have no idea.

Thank you for this, maybe this will explain it to me, I will go home and have a good read. Having just glanced at the article, before reading it I'm going to say "But only in Britain". I just don't believe that these attitudes are prevalent in Europe, this anti-cycling thing only seems to occur here in the UK.

I'll read this later, maybe I'll be proved wrong.
So why not just ignore the thread then if you think that he is just trolling?
Stupid thing is I am not anti-cycling, I'm anti-idiotic cycling just as I am anti-idiotic driving. I must have passed just as many comments about bad drivers on this forum as bad cyclists, but for some reason this lot just latch on to anything they see as a criticism of their mode of transport and go all 'full retard' over it. I do, however, think that, in London at least, there is a higher percentage of cyclists that do stupid things than drivers, but the reasons for that are obvious!

The phrase 'full retard' is a reference to a bad comedy film.

That's not to say it's acceptable, but when someone says 'full retard' I think of Robert Downey Junior in blackface, not some mentally disabled kid in a wheelchair.

Edit, st, I said it. Wonder if it'll get removed?
Still unacceptable, on that same basis I can use any racist/sexist/misogynistic/facist term and claim it's from a film?

Plus it's been used without the 'full' reference.

Plus, if that instance was so intended, it would have been defended as such when called out before.

...and don't worry, it's fine to use. Just don't criticise it's use winkrolleyes

Fecking cycling snowflakes. Jesus Christ.
Snowflake this ain't. I've grown up with a disabled Brother in Law, 52yrs old but with the mental age of 2. No vocabulary, 24/7 care needed, years in a straight-jacket getting beaten by bigoted 'carers' who probably shared the same 'snowflake' (mis)assumption. Taking the piss or using offensive/derogatory terms is unacceptable and makes the poster look like scum.

Same thing would happen if you used offensive/derogatory terms that fell under offensive homophobia/racism/etc.

And let's not forget the irony/hypocrisy element either. Just for the full house.

Not arsed about that, that's just immaturity and an ignorant inflammatory style. Truly offensive terms have no place here....and for the forum to allow their use but delete criticisms of the use is a dangerous precedent.

No, no, I'm fine with the persecution, you imply someone's retarded and mentally disabled, then when you're pulled up on it, you try wriggle out of it, accuse someone else of calling you mentally disabled, and how that's such a horrible thing, you'd never do that...

In my eyes, you're a spineless little POS, so I'm fine with all of these people tearing into you, please don't misinterpret my post as me somehow standing up for you.

However, I've read people say things like "That post gave me an aneursym" before, and I don't take personal offence just because I know someone that suffered from such an affliction.

All of this has taken us off topic, the OP, which was a complete fabrication in the first place, so...
Ignoring your propensity to hurl silly insults around I have never implied anyone is retarded or mentally disabled no matter how many times you say it!
