Here is what Fif and I came up with from the TfL data on the subject of lory related deaths in London all those months ago:
Last 3 years, cycling deaths in London - 14 deaths in collision with lorry, 2 with buses, 4 with car, 1 with bicycle.
14 out of 21 are lorry related, 16 out of 21 lorry/bus
I'll let you do the maths.
If you recall, the stats you were quoting from were national not London based. Bit of a cock up on your part that one!

I've seen a number of cars with taillights not working, and at first thinking they just dont have their lights on but then seeing the headlights on. Modern cars nearly all warn when bulbs are not working, so not sure why people are driving around like that.Nanook said:

Yeah I have heard this about some cars and it's just daft frankly. Luckily mine are all fairly easy to change. The rear indicator bulbs on my car are in the bumper, not the rear clusters.
You have to remove the read clusters to get anywhere near them though.

Hardly convenient to change at the side of the road.

Sorry, but you're talking nonsense, the national numbers showed a lower percentage of HGV deaths, but the thread was about London and you did use national figures as if they were London only, it was FiF who pulled you up on it. Also have look later at night after the rush hour. That said when I was in London I'd still see a fair few of the main commuters without lights, trying to turn left across the cycle lane onto the A320 (I think it is) just south of the river was always a fun one.

Well that's your opinion and fair enough, you're entitled to it, but I think people say things in the heat of the moment that they might not say at other times. To me there is a world of difference between that and repeatedly telling someone they're mentally ill. That said I guess we all have different opinions on what is acceptable and what isn't and on reflection maybe frog just thinks that's OKI just think this thread has got way out of hand and a million miles off topic and for once I have played very little part in the hurling insults side of it, but again that's just my opinion.
