a FWD automatic is not exactly a traditional hot rod. Nasty thing.
It is rear wheel drive, with a 4 speed auto, which is 100% traditional hot rod.
If I understand correctly, RD was talking about the PT Cruiser referred to in previous posts.
Then he’s wrong about it being a hot rod.
He didn't say it was a hot rod, quite the opposite.

Neither is the Prowler.

Hateful things.

No idea on why this thread got bumped but it allows me to confess one of my many sins.

I love these.

There, I said it. I feel dirty and guilty at the same time but there you go. Crap engine, tragic interior and you’d never want to be seen out in public in it (I mean, what does it say about the individual driving it?!) but I’d still have one in the garage and like to see the odd one at car meets or whatever.

I (sort of) know where you're coming from on this - though I couldn't care less what people think of whatever I drive (given I drive a bloody organge Camaro with stripes I guess that's just as well hehe). The engine isn't that bad - but it should have been a V8; the interior isn't great but I've seen a lot worse. Weirdly the worst thing for me is the lack of luggage space, makes a long weekend difficult to say the least
