I wish they would use the Evora more in these comparisons (e.g GT 430), rather than the Exige.

Not sure on pedal layouts Elise/Exige. As you say, spot on in my Elise for H&T. Sure it's an easy tweak though, can't see Lotus reinventing much on the pedal box.
I think being taller might have made it difficult for me; not impossible, but could be easier.

I think that's the first time I've ever read anything derogatory about the pedal layout of an Elise/Exige.
quite, the pedal box in the elise won design awards. Perhaps they did the comparison wearing boots?
Hi guys.

I suspect what might have made it difficult (though I don't for sure) was having to use the brake harder on track, and therefore the reach to the accelerator trickier. From what I can remember the clutch seemed pushed in a little far in from the wheelarch. The shoes (until they came off) were only size 11 Converse, honest!

Can't turn the driver aids off in the Lotus? Are they sure?

It is entirely possible it simply wasn't explained how to do it - the ability is there in both Exige and Evora, but there isn't a button in the cabin which says "off" that makes it obvious.
Yes, sorry, Lotus have been in touch to correct us on this. Turns out you need to hold Race again once in Race mode, which nobody there knew (including the Lotus technician).

Probably should drive one again to be absolutely sure...

Apologies again,

Matt

I've just looked at the beautiful photos again. You were in a left hooker which might be a significant part of what you experienced.
Next time, make sure Lotus give you a car that's the right way round and see how it feels.
