That is pure analogue beauty. And this is coming from a Porsche man. The fact that someone has actually used it only adds to the allure. I’d never spend that kind of money on something that’s been locked away for investment purposes. You can almost imagine the smells of the oil and leather, and the mechanical whine of the engine and gearbox. Lovely.

If it makes you feel any better, I’ll happily jump in a £300k, 600bhp prototype racing car I’ve never sat in before and wring it’s neck around a track, but still st myself every time I drive an F40 down a local road at 25mph.

Stunning motor for sure albeit surely its performance in 2018 is matched by a modern hot hatch? I know which one I'd rather own but £900k for the Fezza vs £50k for a modern albeit "regular" car scratchchin

Which modern hatch can do 0-100mph in 7.8 and 200+ vmax? As if that's the main reason for buying an F40 anyway. rolleyes

If you aren't buying it for its performance, then why are you buying it? Not for looks or build quality surely.

I know women who are thinner than those panel gaps.

it's not the speed though Tx.........it's how it delivers the power.

Granted I've only been a passenger in one, but fck me it felt a lot faster than any chav hatch I've driven or been in,

It's also the occasion of the thing. It feels like a 90s race car.

Everything about the F40 is extremely special.

an RS3 or whatever, well, they'll all just bland euro boxes in comparison.

It's a non-cat and non-adjust (i.e. the most desirable spec)
What does that mean?

p.s. it's a no from me, I can think of better ways to spend £0.9M.
No catalytic converter and non adjustable front ride height. Obviously there are better ways to spend 0.9m, if it's your only 0.9m.

the lifting suspension was offered as an optional extra by the factory, but was not ready when the F40 was released. All or most of the F40 frames came with holes for the hydraulic pipes, and the mounting bracket for the suspension accumulator at the front, with the promise that the lifting suspension kit could be bought and retro fitted. Late model F40's were offered the optional lifting suspension fitted at the factory.

The cat cars are a response to the changing regulations in the 90's. In the cat cars, the muffler is different (different part number), and I believe the engine ECU's had different mapping and did not run as rich. Also CAT overheat and oxygen sensors were fitted plus additions to the engine breather system. The F40 had a lot of upgrades in addition to the cats, and was extensively reworked by Ferrari to accommodate new regulations.

Seen two of these 'in the wild' in Monaco. The one pictured I saw multiple times, a daily driver perhaps? While I admire the chap for driving it, I can't say the streets of Monaco are the best place to enjoy it. I belive it has been straight piped, the pops and bangs where stupendous!

What a waste of 3 minutes, no offence to you of course.

The guy is an idiot, not because i’m jealous or envious, but I doubt that car has AC, or comfortable, or has anything that makes driving in a busy small town easy, yet he’s driving around doing laps of the town just to show off!

I don’t even see what the big deal is with Monaco? If I had that kind of money, the last thing on my mind would be to drive my super car there to do laps around the town center and have kids follow me around with a camera.

Throughout the video I was expecting him to do a burn out or be full throttle at least once but the man is literally doing laps, probably not even enjoying himself
