Why the downer ? have you had a bad example ?
And for info the fuel pipe issue was a weber carb fault ,from source and not unique to scimitars ......tvr ,gilbern marcos all had same fault in same time window.

And very simply sorted with a quick bit of drilling and a self-tapping screw (IIRC a No8) coated with a bit of sealant!

Princess Anne here - look, I never had one of these. It belonged to some woman who looked like me, dressed like me and passed herself off as me. Got that, all you PH'ers? Now 'naff off' the lot of you...

Princess Anne had a Middlebridge Scimitar iirc.

My Dad and Uncle both have Buckskin Scim's similar to the one above.

The Middlebridge Scimitars were built on Lilac Grove, Beeston Rylands, Nottingham.

IIRC they were retailed from premises on Castle Boulevard, Nottingham, a dealership run by two brothers whose name escapes me.

I seem to recall some story about chicken mesh being bonded into the bodywork to improve the radio reception.
My dad's solicitor drove one , he was an incredibly cool guy. This was in the late seventies in a small town near Birmingham.
Not much for young car spotter to get excited about .
When you see the prices capris go for, these are a bargain

A mate of mine had this for a while but moved it on when endless gearbox trouble pushed his patience a little too far...
