It looks great but I call bullst on the 800 hour paint job, that’s working 40 hours a week for 20 weeks. As someone who has painted numerous cars in the past, a lot way more complicated than that one they are taking the mick with these numbers.

It’s a simple two colour paint job, with added graphics that would have been produced using stencils
I'm also astounded at the time given to the paint. surely a wrap would have been easier? or simply using the same technique the F1 teams employ if they were worried the extra layer of paint would add weight?
Maybe they stripped it right back to bare carbon and painted it all over again and that's where the time came in?

Next a 570 senna for January ,then Feb a track pack senna and maybe in march open top versions for summer months don't miss a trick new models every month all based on same tub engine let's max out profit margins.
You haven’t read it or understood what’s been done here have you rolleyes
It’s a customers car, not a new release so if someone with a 570, an idea and a stack of wants something done to it we can read about that too. wink
Or perhaps what you’re saying is Mclaren should knock back those customers and their money...?

Does everything at McLaren have to be about Senna nowadays, its pretty boring to be honest, yes he was great, yes he died, yes we're all sad but do we really need to continue to brand everything with his name all the time?

Lets not forget he was so desperate to get out of McL because the engines were st that he offered to drive for Williams FOR FREE, he didn't give a fk about them, he just wanted to win at any cost.

I don't see them using any of the other greats that have raced for them in anything. Prost won just as many WDC's for them, Hunt is still dead so I don't see why they shouldn't have anything from McL honouring their efforts, its just weird.

With all due respect I would never put paint job and wrap in the same sentence, The best wraps still come in a long way behind a second rate paint job in terms of quality, shine, depth of colour etc and can be spotted from 20 feet away. Plus you would have to be insane to put a wrap on a 2 million pound car in my opinion.

As much as I love McLaren it does annoy me when they make these ridicules claims, it’s not necessary

simply stunning!
It really is. It's the type of tribute that should have been made to the late great Senna rather than the laughable in appearance 'Senna'!

There is a Prost branded P1 and another Senna branded P1 that were both displayed at the FOS a few years ago. If I am not mistaken they are owned by the same guy

It's because it is a bit.. The whole Senna thing is pretty tacky to be honest. I know society is a bit tacky right now, but class will return(!?), and I worry a little for McLaren - I keep thinking they need to keep an eye on their image... It's a bit...YouTube, and inner city poseur right now.

Liked the P1 though, and still like the early 12C's - there's something classless about both, I like it.

Very fast noisy car dressed up like an old F1 racing car, its silly and a bit naff but it is also very appealing to my inner 8 year old.

Yeah, this is a P1 Senna though, not a Senna Senna which it wouldnt work on as it has windows in the bottom of the doors.

I know it’s another one of the endless special editions but it does look rather nice.

Does anyone find the seemingly endless procession of special editions and slightly different variations a bit tedious?

I get the Senna thing, but can’t we just give it a rest?

Now the Mondeo Mansell, that’s a car I’m waiting for!

"MSO managing director Ansar Ali goes so far as to call Beco a “landmark achievement” for the division. "

Is this guy for real? A landmark achievement on The Road To Nowhere?
