I’m a fan, here is my wife’s car / dog carrier. Had it around a year now and never seen over 27mpg but it only does a few thousand a year so not an issue.

I have often looked at these but prefer the equivalent BMW for driver appeal.

I saw a facelifted manual saloon for around £3500 a couple of months back which seemed OK value I guess.

? , ran a 318d along side my 3.0 Spec B, the Subaru had to tow the BM off wet grass numerous times and cost more over the 3 years we had them side by side in servicing, MOTs and faults. And the Subaru had 130k miles versus the BMs 60K miles.

I dont tend to race in cities like an idiot, if a was racing a BMW derv he/she would know about it and admire this view, with the all seasons I put on I think your 325i would struggle somewhat also.

i doubt it was a facelift manual saloon and I doubt you know anything about Subaru other than what you are seeing on the interweb or reading here -

This is a manual facelift but 57 reg

There is no 'equivalent' BMW for a SpecB anyway - when last i checked the 6 pot variants were RWD unless I am missing something.

Yep it was the same but a saloon for £3500. It took a few weeks to sell I think. And I know enough about most cars thanks.

And yes BMWs are RWD in general. Hence are more fun for me.

I've had one for a couple of months now.
Pre-facelift 3.0R spec B Estate w/ manual 'box.

Its a fantastic daily driver. Much more 'grown up' that my old bugeye WRX, if not a bit less lively. Its just as quick but 10x more comfortable.
Best I've managed over a tank is 24mpg, but thats 90% country roads.

First thing I did was poly bush the front end, inc' the steering rack bush. Made a huge difference to front end feel.
A set of Goodyear Vector 4seasons have since given it the grip it needed to be a really good back road play thing, no matter what the weather.

The icing on the cake is the H6 noise once its on cam above 4k.
I can't see me swapping it for quite a while TBH.

most likely an auto box which i have seen a few of, I have only seen a few facelift manual saloons 08/09 reg over the last few years and you have no chance of getting one for 3.5k

Definitely a manual old chum. Probably ended up going for £3k. I would be interested at £2k max as a station stter.

Yep, no love at all for these. Whilst a bit of a fan of the early Legacy and subsequent WRX’’s this fails to excite me. No doubt capable but they seem very bland?

Post a link? I call bs - We all know you are a mentally challenged troll so let's leave it at that. You can spot the BMW fanboys a mile off

It's funny how all the negative feedback is from BMW fanboys, everyone else it seems has other thoughts on the Legacy. Must be the contagion badge disease that has spread across the uk.

It was months ago so no link I'm afraid. I am mental but I think you may need to get yourself checked out too.

So I am a BMW fanboy now as I don't worship an old Japanese saloon? Get over yourself.

Why didn't you get something decent like a VI RS rather than a decent but rather dull old Legacy?

SidewaysSi - Please stop wasting space trolling Eric, I know he's a tad singleminded about his Legacy but its pretty pointless to keep insulting it for the sake of a reaction, just move on. Not sure if it was you or someone else previously but it wouldn't be the first thread to degenerate into useless back and forth due to that.

But it’s ok for the resident Legacy troll to go on and on about BMW drivers etc, etc....

‘A tad single minded’ well there’s an understatement!
