Better looking than BMW’s version. Looks a bit like the new TVR.
Will be interesting to see what prices will be like as that’s going to give Jag’s F Type a kicking and even Lotus and Porsche.

I've had these two images since 31st December - hardly news or a new leak at all. As usual, not on the ball, Pistonheads!
And I was a bit slow, posting these a day after you here: https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&...

Having seen a Supra Mk5, I'd say the proportions are similar to a Cayman. I'd say the target market is similar too.

Appreciate videos and pics are all we have to go on but seriously dont judge until its official and or you see in the flesh. The comments on here are hilarious, it's as if people have seen the car in the flesh. All we have had are terrible CGI videos and camo pictures.

I've seen and heard a camo car in the flesh. Fast, sounded great & looked about the same size as a Cayman. The camo wasn't exactly Harry Potter's invisibility cloak, you could still identify the shape, details and size of the car.
The hilarious part of the Supra is calling it a Supra. That's where I think Toyota messed up, because I've read hundreds of comments comparing it to the Mk4. If Toyota had called it literally anything else, the ridiculous comparisons wouldn't have started.

Well I think Toyota have done a much better job with the Supra than BMW with the G29 Z4.

And as my current Z4 is a Coupe it's the Toyota I'd want, especially if they do make a manual one as has been hinted at - just need to find some money! laugh

What £££ are we thinking for this? If there's been mention of price I've missed it

I'm looking forward to this, I think I'm going to try and get one of the early ones when they start shipping. If it was a bit less than £50k base then that would be nice.

I've heard £50k being bandied about which if true is too expensive IMO. A Cayman with 300bhp starts from £44k and is probably this cars closest rival. An Audi TTS with similar power is £40k, you can get the TTRS with 400bhp for £50k.

I think the base prices definitely needs to be closer to £40k then £50k if it wants to compete in that segment.

From those pics it looks like a strange blend of a Z3 (ish) front, Z4 rear and a slightly grumpy designer.. biggrin

The CGI video version seems to have a lower bonnet line than the photos. Weird.

The body looks like it would be happier sitting on a longer wheelbase.
Like the BMW, there seems to be too much styling going on for that size of car.

add me to the Like It brigade

the visually narrow body is a design principle that stands out, nowadays -- and looks particularly good on this car

I had taken the p*** over the last year about the absurd gestation period

all may be forgotten, however, if it's fun to drive smile
