So compared to the z4 m40 it’s...
Uglier (subjective but I don’t think the z4 is a looker either)
£3000 More expensive
Has no convertible roof
Still auto only

I just don’t get it
Not sure I'm comparing like for like but isn't the Z4 £49k? So £5k more for the coupe verison, isn't it usually the other way round and you pay several £k more for a convertible version of a coupe? Think this should have been priced similarly and started the price with a 4.

Schmeee needs to invest a tenner at Supercuts.

How weird is it to see the BMW graphics on the idrive? I hope they've stuck a classic1986-era digital clock somewhere on the dash so that you don't forget you're in a Toyota!

I can't make up my mind whether it looks good or poor, shame it is auto only for me. It is great to have the Supra back though and I was a very big fan of the previous models.

Same price as a BMW M2 Competition and massively less powerful. And not as good looking. Hard to see why anyone in their right mind would buy a Supra over an M2 - or a Cayman.

Holy st that's professional level ugly design.

Wouldn't have one even if it was given to me for free. Jesus fking Christ.

Shouldn't be surprised given how st the GT86 looks.

Is it just me or is there a hint of new TVR Griffith?
I keep looking at the side behind the front wheel expecting to see exhausts.
It looks fine to me though.

not only hideous from every angle as mentioned but it doesn't even have a Toyota engine??? if you ask me it smacks of the EU saying to the rest of the world if you want to sell your cars in Europe they'll have to have an EU Built (read German) Engine which complies with our rules that we made to safeguard our jobs.......another boring globalist car made for the boring mindless globalist consumer.....and for that reason "um oot"
Yup, you're right. It's a giant conspiracy to only sell German engines by those nasty Germans. They don't publish the only-German-engines rules, but we know the truth.

Maybe you should reading the Daily Mail.
I think the Daily Mail might be too tepid. The David Icke forums are probably more suited to such tin-foil-hattery.

How good looking would that car have been? Typical Autocar tho - their renders are always better than the real thing.

If it looked like that cover car, I'd have placed my deposit as well by now. (interior dependant, of course! smile )

The US version of this and the Z4 gets 285 hp

So is it just remap?

The turbocharged mill is going to deliver 335 horsepower in the base version in which the car will utilize the “B58M1” specification of the engine.

A beefier “B5801” setup of the same engine is expected to churn an additional 50 hp for a grand total of 385 hp. The bump in the amount of horsepower is likely to be complemented by an increase in torque as well, but not as significant. According to BMWBLOG, there are two plausible scenarios regarding why the same model would get two different outputs.

Don't really understand why they made this a sports car.. The Supra, as the article shows, was a 4.5m long retirement cruiser.. Why isn't this 4.7m of cruiser? Odd..

Think it looks great in video in the grey. I expect it will drive at least as well as BMWs it shares drive chain with, so not much to dislike apart from price. For me shame not a 2 plus 2 seating layout.

I am predicting the PH trade off article in a couple of days to be the 370z for half the price for a nearly new one.
