not only hideous from every angle as mentioned but it doesn't even have a Toyota engine??? if you ask me it smacks of the EU saying to the rest of the world if you want to sell your cars in Europe they'll have to have an EU Built (read German) Engine which complies with our rules that we made to safeguard our jobs.......another boring globalist car made for the boring mindless globalist consumer.....and for that reason "um oot"

Nice picture hosting PH. Looks like they were taken on a Game Boy camera.

No, it hasn't got a bespoke M engine for starters. Nor was the chassis designed by BMW M GMBH.

Hey Matt, how about some higher res, not horribly compressed images for your articles? its 2019.
On the plus side, that red one is so covered in artefacts I can't see the horrid styling.

What the fk were they thinking with the front end on this?

Well, the Celica & MR2 and others had a Yamaha engine, so it's not the first time Toyota have done a collaboration on the motor front, but at least it was Japanese.
I'd rather have a GT86 to be honest.

I was expecting the Supra to be more like £40k or a bit lower.... not £54K. That's insane.

Interesting it's "only" 40kgs lighter than the Z4, despite not being a convertible.

I'll be honest, I don't like the way it looks at all.

Reminds me of what I assume is the ethos behind the current Civic design. Different at Toyota are given a brief and then told to go away and design bits of the car. Then put it all together and see how it looks. None of it really flows but from certain angles it looks ok.

I will also get my deposit back. 8k too dear for me. Shame, you would think Toyota failing to get deposits for all 300 of the UK allocation would have told them they can't compete with the Germans options.

First note - I am COMPLETELY the target market for this - current 718CS owner, history of buying coupé and sports cars in the £50k+ bracket...even registered my interest nice and early. But nope. I absolutely made the mistake of loving the FT-1 and this looks like an FT-1 would look if you met it in person after being fished in by the profile pic on Tinder...

The interior is not pleasant at all. Soooo BMW it's not even funny...apart from the Toyota bits which look dated before it's even hit the showroom floor!

To be fair, the gunmetal colour one that Alonso drove on to stage during the official release, looked pretty good in the lights, so perhaps it's just hugely colour sensitive, but this profile shot from the article just makes it look like a fat bloke on roller skates:

I certainly won't be getting out of my 718 for this...which is what I believe Toyota marketing/sales dept. want me to do as a 'prime' customer.
