I'm sure a local school/college would appreciate them for their arts and crafts departments.

Having a garage clear out and I have loads of old car mags, brochures, price lists etc from the 80s onwards and some obscure factory workshop manuals, some from the early 60s.

1100, Riley Kestril
Austin Healy Sprite mk2
Jensen Healy

Not sure what to do with them.

I put the Shop Manuals on eBay buy limited interest

The brochures are probably the most valuable if they're in reasonable nick.

Backstop filler for air rifle plinking.

Or doctors/dentist/garage waiting rooms. Be a nice change from "She","Women" and "Towing a Big Crappy Box Monthly".

We've just had a real life GP saying they can't have magazines in wauting rooms any more because of the risk of plague. He didn't say plague, he said infection.

There's no reason why they shouldn't have them; 'infection control' is a cop-out provided they're changed regularly though in our surgeries they're often nicked within a couple of days. Here's some guidance from the CQC: https://www.cqc.org.uk/guidance-providers/gps/nige...

I`ve been meaning to have a clear out for years.
Up in my loft I have almost every Grand Prix International magazine ever published, 1979 - 1986.
2 years of USA Indy Car mags, when Mansell was driving there.
Every F1 Racing magazine ever published, 1996 to date.
Loads of 70`s and 80`s Grand Prix programs , British,Dutch,Germany,Belgium,French. Some with autographs .
Plus loads of other F1 and WRC stuff.

Anyone interested ?? The Grand Prix programs must be worth a bit. I would be happy for the old mags to go to an enthusiast.

I took some used (but in good nick) copies of CAR to our local doctors. They couldn't take them, the reason, they were over 3 months old!

Sure, I'm sure blokes would much prefer to read one month old Take A Breaks than 6 month old car mags rolleyes

You should have used the Stealth Delivery method, go in and sit down as if you are waiting for the doc, find a seat by the table, and unload and leave your treasure for future readers to enjoy!

Forgot to add that just recently having a few more spare car plane & railway mags. I left them on top of my dustbin hoping they might like to take & read rather than bin with everything else.
Am keeping most of the new style bookazines (cars/planes & trains),as the contents being more comprehensive are worth a re-read even years later.

Stuff them in hedges for the next generation of young boys to find. The way the world's view of cars is heading there'll soon come a day when magazines with pictures of them in will be a more exciting find than a year's supply of Club International was when I was a young lad!

If anyone has any classic and sports cars they want rid of, I'm your man. I am a massive loser and collect them, I have some gaps in my collection, especially around the 90's.

I've got a load of Speedworld International magazines from the mid 60's ... interested?

I've posted this earlier in the thread, but if anyone's got any Performance Car (Mk1) issues they want to get rid of, or Fast Lane (particularly the later years), then please get in touch. I'll come to pick them up.

There is a website where you can sell old magazines. Requires a bit of work on the sellers part and you might not sell very many fast but its a neat concept.

Put them all in bin bags and throw them out on some unused land on your way to work.

there you go. upcycle/repurpose/craft away to your heart's content.

or, do what the rest of us do, and put them in the bin.

The problem with that site is I can imagine buying more than I sell!
