the recipe to me seems simple.

replace heavy panels with lighter materials (bonnet, doors, glass?) Put a nice sounding but economical V8 in and then give it some big electric balls to up the power 2-300hp and you've got a lovely looking, lovely sounding, goes like stink and brings your fleet co/2 right down ?

That could be faked, just like a lot of cars do now with engine sounds piped in through the speakers.
Faked ?? laugh I don't think you've driven a muscle car. Certainly not a 6 litre plus V8.

Not on about muscle cars, cars in general. Easily make the electric car sound like its got an LSX under the hood.

Whenever you get into a big V8 and turn the key you feel it as much as you hear it. On idle there is a deep rumbling that feels quite ominous. I suppose they could strap 300 iPhones to it and set them to vibrate when the ignition is turned. Maybe it could do a Tweet too? #musclecar-to-asda YOLO!

Re noise, the neighbours thought that an airoplane had landed in suburban Chingford, in November 1972, when my Late Dad rolled up in this, from the docks, his 70 RTSE Hemi Challenger.
