maximum speed on motorway?

A normal cruise is around 80mph. Honestly these days the paranoia graph curves like a hockey stick above 90ish. If there's traffic I try to avoid matching speed with anyone near me - I want to go faster or slower than them so they don't tune me out.

Not always. There's been quite a few occasions where I'm the only vehicle on the motorway at 2am on a clear summers night and i've been slowed down to 30MPH for no apparent reason.

Can't think of any reason why they'd do it. Perfect visibility, no traffic, no obstructions...
