maybe its the drivers message when he has overtook another car.

personally I dont get it. id rather my car was lost in a sea of others with as little attention drawn to it as possible on a normal reg..

I have R400 SLO on my Caterham R400...and I live in Slough.

Or it describes the car and the driver.

Was a c63 near me with ‘UR55 LOW’ I think spaced as UR 55LOW last saw it on a gtr, I found it amusing sure it will enrage a few on here.
Its hardly in the same league as the expensive suffix plate in the opening post,

Although I agree, the C63 owner probably would be enraged if anyone pointed that out to her.

The finest private plate I've seen was P15SED.

It was a good few years ago, and I think now may have fallen foul of the new 'can't be offensive' rules.

When I worked around the City of London, I recall the TUR 80 plate on a 911 as already mentioned. I also saw LAM 80 on a Countach. Chanel used to have a Transit with NO 5 on it. I recall a Range Rover with THE 805S; an S-Class with MRB 1 G and someone with a matching pair of 2 BOR and NOT 2 B; there was also 928 with NOW I F.

I don't give a hoot how people space their plates, but 510W doesn't spell SLOW to me, I couldn't live with the I where the L should be.
Looks ok as slow though, rather than SLOW. Lower case, my good man,
Argh, but then the T is wrong and the L is the wrong height!

I remember a news article a few years ago where a chap had BOII CKS or something very similar on his range rover

The new powers that be had him remove it...

Agree and remember the newspaper article about it being banned. It was Paul Gascoigne's reg at the time

I saw what I think was P15 NOB on a Tesla today and thought it was an unusual choice.

Bargain!

It’s a real shame so many great reg’s are sat on certificates with ridiculous price tags tbh! I also don’t get why people get their knickers in a twist over personalised plates, as long as they aren’t spaced or manipulated, that’s not cool.

I have BYE 87E sat on retention and the last car it was on made it ironic more than anything else. Should have put it on the current car but didn’t get round to it and will be going back shortly to be replaced with an M2 Comp- got “M2 CAR” to put on that, sad really but who cares!

Pretty sure UR02 SLO used to be on an old (I think yellow) Cobra many years ago - whether a replica or not I cannot say, but judging by who owned it at the time, I presume it was an original. I can see it's now on a Huracan. Always made me chuckle when I saw it.

Where I live I regularly see one of these driving round in this colour with the number plate "1 PEA" on. Always makes me chuckle.

Now, there's a plate which reads just fine without a wonky font misspacing of letter or even extra bolts to stop it falling off. clap

So, you can legitimately claim that you drove an F1 vehicle on the road,

Less people that have climbed Mt. Everest, can claim that.
