WLTP has had a big impact on German sales.
Porsche cocked up the WLTP in spectacular fashion.

Dealers were simply getting no cars of some models for months.

Unbelievably bad planning

Slightly of topic has ordering opened back up for the RS4?

I think for an SUV the Velar is relatively handsome somehow carries its size better than the FPace

I do find it intriguing that on PH an SUV has generated so far 11 pages of reply - myself included.... !confused

I'd say it's often the controversial marmite type stuff that inspires the most comment and debate rather than the motors that are universally liked or just meh. I've been surprised at times with quite how negative some are here towards SUV's and SUV drivers, rightly or wrongly.

Just wait until the Defender arrives. PH will have to rent some new servers just for that thread alone.

I saw a Velar parked next to a Range Rover Sport the other day and one thing struck me instantly.....suddenly the Sport looks very, very old.

Whether this is the Velar effect or whether the Sport has just aged badly, but to me it's looking really old hat now, there was no appreciable size differance, not sure why anyone would go Sport instead of Velar.
Size. And the RRS has been facelifted to ape the Velar.

The Sport is 75mm longer, or in technical terms bugger all.
If interior space is what you want various things have way more

Or do you mean Size as in they’re both so big as to be cumbersome in which case I wholeheartedly agree.

The RRS sits pretty much bang in between the Velar and FFRR. 4.8m, 4.9m, 5.0m.

But for those feeling a little overawed by a larger car, the RRS is a lot higher than a Velar, and wider. It also has more interior space and the option of 7 seats.

Or in other words. Size!

... and, as above, it can tow a tonne more, is more capable off road, can have a low range box etc.

The Velar is a good looking car. I would be interested to know how the pop out door handles fared in the polar vortex conditions in the USA. I believe they were engineered to work down to -10°C. Temperature has fallen below that on accession even here in the UK. Anyone know?
It was -37 with wind chill here last week. My car was parked outside all day and I had no issues.

For me this just offers far too much of everything most people don't need. JLR really ought to be concentrating on getting the business back on track rather than producing vehicles that seems to compete with other models within the brand doesn't make sense.

So does the GLC 63 compete with the GLC 63 coupe, or the GLE 63, or the GLE63 coupe, or the GLS 63, or the G 63?

To be fair the UK IS worse for any door handle concerns, rain, condensation freeze and thaw cycles that seal any gaps on cars. That vortex the air would have been dry and stayed that way.

So very true. Chicago is crazy dry. I can happily cycle in -7 degree temperatures. I'd risk my collar bones in the UK at 0.

I’m still not sure if you mean the Sport is better because it’s bigger?
