I still don't get all the gushing over its looks. It has some nice details but overall it's just plain ugly to my eyes.
I'm with you on that. Like a lot of modern efforts, the designers got hooked up on details and bling and failed to shape a coherent whole. The rear with it's funny little overbite bootlid and droopy, wavy diffuser detail is a case in point - it just looks a mess.
I also think that they tried to incorporate influences, e.g. Scaglione's Tipo 33 Stradale, without really understanding what they were doing.
In addition, it's too wide, too blobby from the rear 3/4 and only available as an auto, although I'll admit that the last point is not so much of an issue these days as a lot of folk are happy with the car doing a lot of the driving for them + it saved development costs (see also Alpine etc.).
It looks good in the flesh because it's tiny, and tiny cars just look good.
Have never understood the ‘too wide’ comments.
It can easily be hustled down your average B road,
If anyone (usually those that have never driven one...) can’t manage a car of it’s size, then please get off the roads whatever you drive.
Only today, I parked mine in a multi storey car park.
No issue.
Not too wide.
Easily done.

Only issue for me in car parks is how low it is (scrapes on ramps ) It can easily be hustled down your average B road,

Simply stunning. Think I’m in the minority here but I prefer the launch headlights on the coupe.
I think you just might be indeed. Amazingly, all the non- PH using, car loving people I know , it’s the carbon headlights that get the most positive comments...

A 6C will replace in due course. Likely the 510hp V6 from the Giulia.
Shame the British motoring press never understood the 4C. The rest of the world did.
I understood there won’t be a 6C, but instead a Giulia coupe with hybrid techShame the British motoring press never understood the 4C. The rest of the world did.
Probably £80k plus though...
