Sadly the S class that rusted was newer than that basket case shed in the article.

So what you are saying is that anyone who buys a German car for more than you deem acceptable needs help?

I don't think anyone is paying £100k for a GT4 do you? And I think someone is probably pretty smart to get a GT2 RS for £250k. Certainly smarter than you it would seem..

I think you need to face facts that you don't know very much about what you are talking about do you?
Even worse. Paying nearly four times the price of a new cars price for a second hand version is the very definition of stupidity. Whoever buys that is a dumb schmuck

Paying twice the list price for someone else’s car makes you a prize .

Paying nigh on £30k for a car (that old C class) soon to end up in shed of the week in a couple of years has to be up there.

Don’t be a chump.

Maybe, but would you pay a premium for an LFA? Do you not recognise that certain cars are highly sought after? That there may not be many of them, and that the limited supply means they can be sold at a premium? That in the case of this Mercedes it is an interesting limited edition of a car that is interesting to enthusiasts? Do you know why your comments are being treated with such derision? To you it may be a shed in waiting (like the rather bland S8 you liked earlier will certainly become). To others it's the last of a certain breed of car, and deserves a certain status.

Don't get me wrong, if I was spending near enough £30k on a Merc super-saloon I'd be looking at the last of the 5.5TT E63s from circa 2015-16, but...

You're either a st troll or an utter idiot, and probably both.

I think you might be the dumbass st kicker here.

You acknowledge that for the same money you can get a 5yr newer E class and yet I’m somehow the village idiot for pointing out a similar thing 8 pages earlier.

No I wouldn’t pay a premium for an LFA.

I fail to see how a small estate car can be compared to the greatest super car on earth but hey hum there’s now queer as folk.

That S8 is nice btw. If you’re into German cars that’s got to be a great buy.

So the LFA is the greatest supercar on earth, yet even in those circumstances you wouldn't pay a premium? So you have no realisation that certain cars can appreciate in value?

This Mercedes may not be too your liking, but you do realise this is a website for car enthusiasts?!

No - because it wouldn’t be mine - it’s someone else’s that I have bought. I’d want it for less than list.

I’ve found other better cars if you’d care to read the thread - actually I’m the only one who’s bothered to find better alternatives.
