I'm sure the engine dominates. But what happens if the engine lets go? You're left with a £30k paperweight that's worth a stty c class with its guts hanging out.
And being a Merc that can and does happen.

The bork factor of a c63 is much much less than an RS4/M3 of the same vintage.

Overdue accounts, I think. They've somehow never filed any accounts with companies house.....
They have filed their accounts but the last set to be submitted was in 2016.

For more or less the same money biggrin

I know what I would buy. Even the interior materials are comparable.
What if I needed rear doors and a reasonable boot? The Mustang would be completely useless.

You may as well have linked to a 2CV for sale.

As far as I know, yep. I really like the look they give but them + the P30 suspension does result in a rather firm ride.

Surely the comment about the engine letting go is just a moot point? Any car once the engine lets go is pretty useless, and I'm not sure what the difference would be between a useless 911 and a useless C63, for example.

Do they have the grey tint inside? They look solid silver. I like them.

Fancy swapping for a mint set of the black multi-spokes? biggrin

This N/A engine combined with the MCT was in my opinion at the time the best combination on the market. I had a performance pack SL63 with this engine and MCT autobox and loved everything about it and never had a worry about fuel consumption when you have that wonderful exhaust sound and truly enjoying going through the gears.
I was aware of the headbolt issue and did contact my local well respected independent MB specialist who told me there were very few cases of complete failure and you could have new bolts fitted if it worried you. I understand MB addressed the issue with later engines as far as I know.

Have you seen the back of a C class. The boot is not big and the legroom laughable behind someone who isn't a runt.

Bit more money but what a car. Compared to that old Mercedes this seems a better place to put ones money.

I prefer the 7-speed torque-converter. I've never got on with any dual-clutch auto, and I just found the auto (7G-Tronic?) suits the car perfectly. I would expect it to be more reliable too, although that's just a hunch!

Can't disagree about the engine though! Just incredible!

Chalk and Cheese, i’m afraid. I had a C63 Coupe with Performance Pack a few years ago, so can speak from a couple of years and 50k miles (bought from new) ownership experience.

The thing about these is the 6.2 Litre NA Engine. In my opinion this was one of the finest petrol engines ever created in the history of motoring. Other have said, and I agree, that driving one of these really was an event, more typically associated with higher level Supercar exotics and the noise was so addictive.

This point is clearly missed on you though, which is fine. We can’t all like the same things in life, else it would be a grey world of uniformity and blandness.

But, throwing in an Audi A8 or a Mustang etc as a viable alternative is just ridiculous. Sorry, but it is. (And I own and have owned numerous Mustangs too as well as various Audis)

I'd have a C63 over that any day of the week.

Solid silver indeed, and not a chance mate! biggrin

I like them a lot more than I thought I would, I wasn't so keen until I saw them in person.

Easy there window licker.

My experience of owning Mercedes is probably more than yours. I also am on first name terms with specialists who maintain the rust buckets and put it this way - they're kept very busying fixing the many Mercs that have serious issues.

Fair enough. I wouldn't. I'd have this over both biggrin

I like the RCF (although that bonnet looks awful). I'd still have a C63 though!

An S class, 3x E classes and a C class. None were AMG models though. How many have you owned?

Fair play - you can find some with painted rather than carbon bonnets. Quite a similar car in ethos to a C63 but with lexus quality. I am seriously considering one to replace my GS - which as a 4dr saloon I find is the best saloon I have ever owned (even better than the S class wink)

Whilst not a DR520 nor an estate, I recently took ownership of a 507 Coupe.

Clearly still in the honeymoon period, every drive is an event dominated by the engine.

As with most owners, I'll always leave the door open when firing her up on a morning. It's so angry and wakes you right up on a sleepy morning! On the go, I find myself using the paddles more than in any previous cars I've had. The MCT is actually very decent and provides loads of fun.

Some snaps.

Chuffin' heck, that's absolutely fantastic, cool
