Do give it a rest you tiresome troll.
Easy there window licker. My experience of owning Mercedes is probably more than yours. I also am on first name terms with specialists who maintain the rust buckets and put it this way - they're kept very busying fixing the many Mercs that have serious issues.

I'd have a C63 over that any day of the week.
Fair enough. I wouldn't. I'd have this over both https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201...

Swoon !!!
You’re fast becoming as much of a joke here as you were on MBCLUB before they kicked you off.
Oh and we are about even on the number of Mercs owned by my reckoning.

Have to agree. I can’t understand why you’ve had so many Mercs when you clearly think they’re the worst cars in the world. Swoon !!!

No offence but you kinda come across like someone who’s wife left you for a slimy Merc salesman after he stitched you up on a p/x deal or something.

5 isn't that many to buy over an 11 year timescales. However to have had so many issues across all the cars is quite something. I just say it as I see it. AlonzoHarris said:

Why because I am not gushing at the prospect of paying over £25k for a near 10yr old C Class and merely highlighting cars of similar performance that are much newer for a similar amount of money. Edited by AlonzoHarris on Sunday 10th February 14:35

I don't see why you bring up a forum I moderated briefly half a decade ago. As it were, which particular fanboy are you from there?
Because you were an utter clown on there too and spent the majority of your time deliberately baiting the AMG forum until significant numbers of people had enough ? Brooking10 said:

Except that is a complete lie. People cried like babies because I didn't share their enthusiasm for the C63's that were being PCP'd/leased etc en emass. People cried so much I ended up a moderator. That might happen here if you complain that I've found better alternatives to that almost "shed of the week" territory C Class. I cannot even recall posting on the AMG forum - but then again it's 7 years ago so maybe I did?

You bought five Mercs over 11 years, so almost one every two years before you realised they were the worst cars in the world? On that basis I think my second scenario is prob more accurate then.
I too bought the "best or nothing" and all the man on the internet barely run in at 200k miles BS you read on forums and concluded that I was just unlucky but no - I've had too many to know they're actually crap and you are paying a premium for the brand. Experiencing other cars has re-enforced that position. Edited by st4 on Sunday 10th February 16:17

Listen, you are the one who brings up a forum I moderated over half a decade - you've done it on two threads for no good reason. Give it a rest maybe.

True colours will continue to out
You say you’ve been unlucky five times in a row but you can be found in every Mercedes related forum stinking it up. If you really were unlucky, why do you feel the need to do this.
I think perhaps it’s you that needs to give it a rest. You’re coming across as deranged I’m sad to say.

I've owned 6 Mercs over 12 years - do I win?
Seriously, anyone coming on here throwing about widespread generalised views about any car, like they ALL rust, the engines can let go at any minute - whilst simultaneously fanboyishly gushing about their newfound brand love as if perhaps the dealerships don't even have service techs because the cars are 100% infallible and will outlive the planet, is going to come across as a troll.
Mercs aren't perfect, but then no car is (no, not even a Lexus). Sharing brand experiences and being helpful makes forums, but hanging about the Merc forums pouncing and shouting 'rubbish, it'll break, it'll rust, buy a Lexus' on every thread isn't helpful. Just my opinion of course, just in case anyone was thinking about doing that.

C'mon - hardly. AlonzoHarris said:

Because I don't think I was - they're not as good as people say they are. I find it odd you'd wonder why someone on a car forum who had 5 Mercedes might mention what they were like to own. AlonzoHarris said:

No, you are trolling. I happen to post on a thread about a car with thoughts to an alternative car and you err go to troll level expert. Sorry - not buying it.yellowbentines said:

So are you going to blow nearly 30k on the 9yr old C class?Seriously, anyone coming on here throwing about widespread generalised views about any car, like they ALL rust, the engines can let go at any minute - whilst simultaneously fanboyishly gushing about their newfound brand love as if perhaps the dealerships don't even have service techs because the cars are 100% infallible and will outlive the planet, is going to come across as a troll.

All I have said is from an ownership perspective there are many cars that are a better ownership proposition than a Mercedes

But for clarity you have zero experience of owning an m156 engined one let of all one as relatively rare as the car under discussion here ? All I have said is from an ownership perspective there are many cars that are a better ownership proposition than a Mercedes
