RE: Volvo V70 T6 by Polestar: Spotted
Discussion
Had a T6 a few years ago - great engine, cavernous boot and good flip up seats for kids. And that was the end of the positives for me. Couldn’t wait to get rid after 8 months.
Heavy, dim-witted box, slow steering, swift rather than quick, crap seats, not as big as it looks, rubbish dash, poor quality plastics, and so on.
I tried to like it, but really couldn’t. Better things out there for the money, whatever the price.

You could also pick up a V8 Audi S4 (340bhp) for even less.
V8 S4 is a nicer car, and sounds much better. I'd be twitchy about the cam chains/tensioners on an S4 with 100k + on it though.Bladedancer said:

I've got a B7 2.0tq Avant for my daily, and I don't get the rear seats being unusable? It's true there's not much load space, and I think the B8 2.0t maps near to 300 bhp , as long as it doesn't have the chocolate piston rings...
The big buckets in the S/RS versions take up more of the legroom, but it's not exactly a large car.You couldn't compare it in terms of load space against the V70, for example.

I recently sold my 05 V70R AWD and bought an early P3 XC70 for family use and it lasted 12 days... various reasons but to pick up on the 'real Volvo' theory, the P3 is well below oar more so compared to the P2. Switch gear is cheap, seats aren't half as good and granted it was an XC, but it just felt quite uninvolved and vague be it steering, gearbox, brakes. Shame as I like the looks but struggling with the P3 cars and thus one, can't but help feel the dim witted gearbox would kill it. Have since gone back to my old, tired P2 V70 D5 and it just feels so much better to drive and also feels like it'll last twice as long.

I adjusted the driver's seat to my driving position (I'm around 6ft tall) and I could barely sit the back behind the driver - with my legs spread apart like an eagle. If I put a child seat there the child would probably ride with their knees under their chin.
B8 doesn't have this problem so S4 is back on a could-buy list for me.
