In the last year or so, actually being driven...

Pagani Zonda (don't ask me which version)
Facel Vega HK500
Lancia Beta Montecarlo
Mercedes 300SL Gullwing

(And in the next few months an acquaintance is getting an Arash AF8)

The rarest for me seen on the road (not at a car show) is a Bristol Fighter, driving in to an industrial estate in North Yorkshire. Wikipedia makes reference to only 13 manufactured so a rare sighting.

Recently saw AM Vanquish Zagato Shooting Brake. Didn't even register with me to be honest. I vaguely registered an estate car towards the back, but my attention was on the Lamborghinis, Ferraris, Porsches and other exotica, including DB11 and Vanquish.
It wasn't until we left that the guy who'd taken me there asked what I thought of it. getmecoat

I have a load of rare spots- have still to upload them somewhere. Many one-offs/coachbuilt specials. And very local to me- a Monteverdi Hai.

I was going to say McLaren F1 or F1 GTR, but that was at the Festival of Speed and there are plenty rarer race cars there too. Arguably too many to sit and list off...

On the road or outside of a big event? I don't have much luck in that department, perhaps the very last TVR Cerbera counts for something .

EDIT - Actually, I've seen a white Porsche 959 heading to Henley, that absolutely counts! Not sure how I forgot...

On the road would be more interesting.

As you say , just at the Festival of speed i have seen more rarities than i can list....

Rarest car on the road........

I saw a 1960s Ferrari at a Shell petrol station once , i think it was a 250 GT Lusso

In fact it might even be this one , it was this colour after all!

I saw a Zonda tanking it down the Bagshot road in Bracknell once as well.

I'll add my Intermeccanica Indra for consideration. 1 of 27 built in fastback form.

Credit to the Mrs. I was doing a Time Trial near Knutsford. Kaz takes a picture of me as I pass only for the Veyron to stick its chin into the shot at the same time.

Ogle Aston Martin V8 on a neighbour's drive in the early '80s. It was a dark red and looked amazing. Not sure how many were built.

Saw this during its restoration at an open day at Crossthwaite and Gardner in E Sussex, along with Norman Foster himself. Pretty rare.

Then a few months later...............at Goodwood (2011)

Edit, I was lucky enough to have a brief chat with Sir Norman and asked if this strange looking vehicle had any influence on one of his most iconic buildings.............. well what do you think?
